Hello guys,
I already have a Sassanid army, and I am slowly building up and painting a III century Roman army... But with the latest releases of Wargames Atlantic Digital Palmyrene troops, I am thinking about painting a small Palmyra force. I would also buy A&A miniatures for sure.
I have seen several illustrations from Ospreys and similar books of Palmyrene troops, Zenobia, and their leaders, but I can't find pictures of a complete painted army, as an inspiration. It seems nobody has more than a handful minis painted.
A few years ago, there were people in this forum with a similar project If I am not wrong.
I you have seen/or have a Palmyrene force, please show it here !
Thanks in advance.

Chema, I have an A&A one but it will take me a few days to dig it our and photograph it as my table is currently covered in English Civil War figures for a game tomorrow .

Chema. I had to clear my table so dug out the Palmyrans. Not the best photos as only my phone and not very good light. All the figures are A&A. Not the best by latest standards but the only ones available when I boughr them during lockdown . They all have movement sabots but I store the cavalry individually. I also have an A&A late 3rd century Roman army.

I have a 15/18mm one that I converted from Battle Honours (now AB) Sassanid range, but I’m guessing that’s not quite what you’re looking for!

Sadly not my painting!

Tim, thanks for posting. These Blitzkrieg figures rather outclass the A&A and the painting puts in mine literally in the shade. I had quite forgotten about Blitzkrieg and have just checked out their website. A nice range of ancients/medieval at reasonable prices. They are pricier than A&A assuming you take account of the latter's perennial discount offers, but if starting from scratch I would go Blitzkrieg as they are much nicer sculpts. I also see that they produce the Caballero/Reconquer Designs "El Cid" range for which I need more figures, so I may finally found a reasonably-priced source of those albeit they are all frustratingly showing as "sold out".

Thank you all for the answers, very inspiring

lol,
He’s not ‘my painter’ he’s just a friend who happened to be selling some of his work.
I feel like I now own a Picasso! lol
It’s too good to use, it’ll be like a WWII Italian battleship…
