Title: Silver Bayonet - Combat Rules Questions
Post by: FlaLibrarian on 24 February 2025, 04:30:12 PM
Hello all, new to the forum so apologies if this isn't the right spot or if this was addressed somewhere else and I couldn't locate it.

I finally got around to playing a solo game of The Silver Bayonet, and it was loads of fun. I did have two questions pop up that I was unsure on though.

1) Can you shoot at an enemy you are currently in melee with if you have a loaded weapon? (I ended up doing a house rule that a pistol can be shot but not a musket).
2) Can you shoot at an that is currently in melee with a friendly unit?

Thanks in advance!

The situation should not arise because there are no "continuing melees". If the strike and possible counter-strike of a melee combat result in the original active figure being still on the table, it must Back Off (page 58).
