Post by: princeman on March 04, 2025, 08:55:40 PM
What is the makeup of a WW2 A-10 tank platoon and do they have Vickers VI support?
Thanks

Depends on what time period you are modelling. The A-10 was classed as a 'heavy cruiser tank' and in 1939 at the outbreak of war, each troop would have contained only two tanks.  That's the period where you would find light tanks mixed in but I would note it was a half squadron of light tanks at the squadron level, they weren't mixed at troop (platoon level)

By May 1940 most regiments were organised into a standard three tank troop. Four troops to a squadron, plus two cruisers at SHQ and two close support versions of the cruiser, fourteen tanks all up.
