Started some Caesarian Romans for Midguard/Impetus. Wanted to do these for a long time and finally got around to it.

Absolutely stunning. The Foundry figures are superb. I built a Caesarian army using Foundry and some A&A Spanish a few years ago but they aren't this good.

Some of the best historicals I saw on here. Great dust effects and very nice reds. Especially for a whole unit the quality is amazing!
-
Excellent stuff, Chris! You nailed that weathered, battle-hardened look :-*
Just as I pondered a return to my long lost Late Republicans ...
Please keep 'em coming!

Great stuff, beautifully painted. I have an army of these in my to do pile, and, like you, I?m thinking Midguard!

Thank you very much everyone very kind! :)

Beautifully done Chris 👌
This will also be my last project before retirement.
-
Very well done Christopher. :-*

Very nice. The dirty red is awesome.

Thank you for the nice replies! :)
@Garth
Then I imagine you will start them very close to your retirement considering how fast you paint miniatures, because by the time I've finished applying the first layers of color to a unit you've done an army! lol

You have a head-start mate, as a not due to start mine until June, as still adding to the HYW and Jacobite collections 😘

Ummm I would need a much larger head start, because in addition to being a slow painter I get distracted a bit too easily! lol Anyhow looking forward to your results.

Absolutely super! Great colours and basing, I really like the varied equipment.

Good stuff. Those Copplestone sculpted Caesarians are still my favorite 28mm Romans out there, even after 20+ years.
-
Loving those, great work

Thank you gents much appreciated! :)

Like others have said, stunning work with the reds and weathering. The whole unit together looks awesome with how much work is in each figure. I could tell they were Copplestones instantly! I've got some recently and besides having to glue swords and carve out hands, they are very very nice figs.
