As with many, maybe even most historical wargamers, my first and longest running wargaming project has been the fighting in France, Holland and Italy over 1944 into 1945. Last one out is this US infantry squad, grouped as they are used in Battlegroup, i.e a 5-man BAR team and a 7-man rifle team. I'll be updating this post as soon as I sorted out the images, I mistakenly posted it in the middle of writing it. o_o

Nice work.
-
Looks great!
-
Great job on that squad.
-
They look good, even at such a small size!
-
Really nice paintjobs on such small figures, love the basing too! Simple but effective. What sculpts are they?
-
Thanks everyone!
Really nice paintjobs on such small figures, love the basing too! Simple but effective. What sculpts are they?
Thanks, yeah I usually do little basing other than flock on the regular riflemen, but I might go back and put a few bits of clump foliage later. It's all Skytrex/Old Glory, though I have a few Peter Pig and old metal BF figures to add here and there.
-
Good work on those GIs.
-
Thanks Capn!
I figured I'd put some more images of the US stuff I did before I decided to get serious about getting back into "old internet".

This M20 is quite recent, from a few months ago.

These two poor M4A1's are quite fun. They might look a little bit wonky but they were actually Frankensteined from I think three different kits (one PSC and two different FoW kits) ages ago as armoured support for my US airborne.

They look good. There were about a bazillion models and variants of the Sherman. So, I wouldn't worry too much about the "Frankentank" nature of those two... 8)
That M20 looks good too.

Thanks for the kind words Jim!
Hobby time been mostly focused on Vietnam rather than ww2 past month, but I did manage to finish this Bazooka team on the side at least. The usual Skytrex figs, quite decent poses really. I get a distinct ambush vibe from them.

Very nice

Thanks Frostie! Next US infantry squad cleaned up and ready for paint. 🫡

A brief interlude from the US infantry with this 3d printed Sdklfz 223 I got from the Plastic Soldier company. Overall very impressed with the print detail, the few visible print lines I tried to cover with some stowage. The packages got absolutely destroyed by the Swedish Postal service Postnord (a common enough occurence as to spawn the loving company nickname Postmord), but to PSC's credit all the 3d prints survived scot free, and they definitely feel less brittle than other 3d prints.
I left the paint job quite simple as I wanted it to mesh with my old, not too that well painted Sdkfz 222's which were one of the first ww2 vehicles I did back in 2019 when I returned to miniature painting after a brief 20 year hiatus.... lol

Good work on that 222. Nicely done!

Another batch of US vehicles I finished just before joining the forum, an ordinary M5 Stuart as well as a turretless recce Stuart that Imade out of spare PSC parts from the previous mentioned kit.

In the mean time I've managed to finish up another US piece, a Forward HQ unit used in Battlegroup, or some kind of senior command for other wargame rules. They're all 15mm Peter Pig, well fed and nice little pieces to paint up.

Thank you!
After a Vietnam-heavy hobby summer I've managed to do a little on the ww2 side, namely a forward HQ for my Fallschirmjäger collection. This is all Peter Pig I think...

Once you start looking for it you'll find basically turretless versions of any tank!
