... or, "In mediaeval Scotland, Bishop bash you!"
Bishop Robert Wishart of Glasgow, being a thorn in Edward's side, c.1306. I can neither confirm or deny that I got this figure purely to make that joke.
Would Wishart have looked like this at Irvine or the Siege of Cupar? Probably not, but I loved the figure (from Footsore's Barons War range) and the discription of him being captured wearing armour under his vestments was too much to pass up. The heraldry's somewhat conjectural; I've given him the arms of the Wisharts of Logie, rather than the main branch of Pittarrow (as I'd originally represented him in 15mm), since laterly most of what I've found seems to suggest he was the second son of Adam of Logie, rather than a scion of the Pittarrows (though even the Wishart Society site bears conflicting information). I've differenced them in the modern manner of a second son, I've no idea what would be accurate at the time, but in the absence of anything concrete, it'll do for now.
A fun little diversion from my main WoI project.

Lovely stuff! Really cool mini, I need to try Footsore myself sometime.

Thanks! Yeah, FS have some lovely stuff, much of it tempting me into projects I really don't need to be starting...

I’ve got a healthy collection of Footsore Baron’s War models myself for a project this year. They’re fantastic. This model is one I had been eyeing for awhile and pulled the trigger this morning. It’ll be interesting to see what my total cost ends up in these dark, modern times.
Your paint job is fantastic. Great application of white! It’s nice to see a variant color and not just another red tabard as often applied to this model.
