I've managed to produce another dozen of these smaller pieces that add some flavor to the battlefield.
First up, is a wagon transporting a couple of wounded British soldiers to the field hospital.
Next is a wounded man being carried to the Regimental Surgeon.
"Put him down over there!" motioning to the empty cot.
And finally, the men of the 63 Regiment at Saratoga are addressed by their Officer.
"Congratulations Men! You've all joined the Artillery!!"
Due to the high mortality rate among Artillerymen at Saratoga, men of the 63 RD were drafted into the Artillery Corps. They didn't survive long either.

Lovely stuff.

Wonderful work, What exactly did you use to get that autumn effect?
-
Tom, I have my own mixture of ground covering for Fall.
I use a plastic shoebox that has a tight lid.
I throw a handful of various fall colored flocks, ground foams, 2 mm static grass, several spices (Oregano, All Spice)
fall leaves and 1 or 1/2 inch broken up twigs. And whatever old Tea leaves you may have lying around.
I'm sorry that I don't have exact measurements, but I just eyeball it. Perhaps use a small 2 or 4 ounce cup and fill it with each of the ingredients.
Then I mix it all up in the box.
At his point, you can add whatever you like to get it to look like you want it too. More spice? More leaves? More or less sweeten to taste.
The secret ingredient is the 2 mm static grass. It really adds to the illusion and pulls everything together.

I always enjoy seeing these little vignettes. They can add a lot of character to the table top. I also like to use them for markers instead of tokens, etc.
