Title: Triumph of Death and horror related
Post by: adamsfantasticminiatures on April 03, 2025, 09:06:31 PM
I don't know if my dioramas fit here, they are definitely horror, let me know if they don't fit in. Minifigs skeletons hauling the bell of death, with skeleton carts, horsemen, coffins and assorted..... still available even though they were designed nearly 50 years ago. I tried to get them like in Peter Brueghels Triumph of Death painting. More in my gallery along the same lines, and a Vampire thing too.

Thanks Digits! individually they are pretty small and primitive figures, but because they made the bell and the cart and the coffin bearers and all those guys carrying torches and baskets, en masse they can look great.

Nicely done, and to be fair the primitive sculpts help them work en mass.

So good choice both in miniatures and painting style for the compositions.

works nicely, and animated skeletons and walking dead - classic horror.

You will need Ashy Slashy with his boomstick and chainsaw to stop that horde.

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. I have only done one other horror thing so far, so here is a few from it; Basildon the Essex vampire and his zombies are attacked in their castle by some adventurers....these are mostly Essex miniatures, including the vampire, that looks a bit like Christopher Lee.

Fantastic pictures, really atmospheric, thank you for sharing.

Is all that stone texture on the background painted on? How do you have the patience!? :o

Looks like an undead rave. Great looking diorama.

Not a rave, but the skull and bones opener for Mardi Gras.  Ya gotta wake up early on Fat Tuesday to see these folks…

Not always a fan of painted pupil and iris on white eyes…but the look of fear engendered on one of dwarves…pure genius.  I say he deserves a Bafta!
