Here are some peasant jacales/huts to populate the outlying areas of San Antonio De Bejar.
A mixture of adobe, thatch and timber. All made from the usual foamcore, Polyfilla render, balsa doors, kebab skewers, hebe bush tree and teddy bear fur.
Boot Hill Miniatures Texians painted by Bugsda advance on the town .

Rubbish! ;D
No, in fact they are very nice and it is good to see some different construction methods to adobe. I like a bit of variety (unless it involves the Paladium or Bruce Forsyth)
-
Absolutely beautiful arrangement and finish of the buildings ... :-* :-* :-* ... I think I will do some more adobes ;)
-
Another great piece for your town, Malamute. Now on to the Govner's palace, or did you finish it already?
:-*
-

Aiming to fill a 12" x 6" board are we?
Lovely work on the buildings and a cracking paint job as usual :-*
Have you only got a single tree though? I am sure we seen that at the side of the field ;) :D
-
Excellent stuff as always - and nice to see SeƱor Malamute branching out in to non-adobe building materials!
-
That's just great :-* seriously love these buildings.
-
Wonderful Nick.
You're gonna need a bigger table! ;)

Yep thats the plan, to make the palace over the Christmas holidays. BUt I really enjoyed making the log jacale, so I might make a couple more of the timber/thatch ones.

No, it is still Madam Malamute who cut the bushes of the garden lol lol lol

The buildings look great. I like your method. The figures look nicely painted as well.

Good to see Svennn is still letting you use his hair for the thatch.

It's very nice and I look forward to seeing more, particularly the govenor's residence. There is one thing letting it down though, I bet there's no bell in the church tower......

absolutely wonderful buildings, for a period I have a keen interest in. All of your work has been superb and loved the Zorro scenarios previously posted.
This might be obvious and taken as read by other posters, but I get the impression Mamalute and Captain Blood are from the same area/club ? Oh to be a member of that club !! - Captain Blood has done the best terrain board I have had the pleasure to lay my eyes on (FIW/Huron) and Mamalutes Wild West/Mexican stuff is brilliant.....it must be about as close to wargaming heaven as possible.
-
and it would help if I could take a little more care and get the name right !!! - my apologies
-
I like Mamalute :D but prefer to call him Mallamullet on account of his 80's haircut :D
