As you may have seen over the past few days, I have been working on painting up my first unit of Phalangites for a Macedonian army.
Behind the scenes, work has been going on (yes we actually do some work...) to add some shield transfers to our range, which I teased in my most recent work in progress photo.
This gives you the option to add quality designs to your miniatures, without the hassle of having to hand paint each shield design individually.
I am pleased to say that we have added a wide variety of shield transfers that are suitable for use for 28mm Macedonian and Successor armies: https://www.wipgamesandminiatures.com/catalogue/28mm-miniatures/macedonians-successors/accessories-4/transfers (https://www.wipgamesandminiatures.com/catalogue/28mm-miniatures/macedonians-successors/accessories-4/transfers)
It's also worth mentioning that we do have a unit builder for Macedonian Phalangites on our website (https://www.wipgamesandminiatures.com/unit-builders (https://www.wipgamesandminiatures.com/unit-builders)) and with our wire spears plus our new shield transfers, you can start working on that new Macedonian army that you've always wanted!

Nice one. Will you do transfers for the Greeks ? What's next for metals ? Ancient Indians of Porus's army perhaps ?

what is the diameter of the transfers?

Currently there are no immediate plans for transfers for the Greeks, but they may still come out in the future! We are currently working on lots of different bits for our 28mm metals, Indians have definitely been talked about...
what is the diameter of the transfers?
The transfers are about 14mm! :D

Transfers work great on flat shields but are much harder when the surface is curved (like the phalangites’ ones should be.)

Agreed! Thankfully the Macedonian shield transfers come as one piece and only have a slight curve on our shields. The armies that use transfers that are quartered can be a real pain to put on! lol

I am curious to try the transfers on a domed shield, such as the GB Polemarch versions.

They should work just as well as other transfers available on the market at the moment :)
The only thing that you'd need to worry about is whether the shields you want to put these transfers on are too small, as I'm not sure of the size of the GB range shields
