Generic sci-fi civilians are always great for gaming. Here are some painted characters from the film Alien: Romulus, designed by Papsikels and printed by Starlettminiatures via Etsy.
Here are three 28mm versions of Andy from Alien: Romulus. Andy is a malfunctioning synthetic, reprogrammed by Rain's late father. In the film, he wears a greyish jumpsuit, but I’ve added some variation to make each figure unique. The middle pose is inspired by the scene where Andy reboots.

28mm versions of Kay, Rain and Navarro from Alien: Romulus.

Turning the Andy rebooting figure it something a bit more practical for gaming purposes.

Gossams were a small, saurian species from the planet Castell, with colonies on Felucia and Saleucami. They averaged around 1.25 meters in height, had wrinkled, pebbly green or blue skin, elongated necks, wide yellow eyes, and tapered heads. Their society valued physical appearance, with females styling their hair accordingly. They were frail bipeds with three-fingered hands and three-toed feet, living up to about 75 years.
Known for their cunning and intelligence, Gossams often worked in trade and commerce, most notably serving the Commerce Guild, led by Shu Mai during the Separatist Crisis and Clone Wars. Their scheming nature meant they could be found across the galaxy, operating as merchants, smugglers, or even pirates.

Meanwhile, an unsuspecting Ewok found its way onto my painting pile last week (resized to 28mm and printed by Madhouse3DPrinting). A stark reminder that I still have 25 more of these little troublemakers waiting for their turn!

A weary Chagrian, beaten by misfortune, crouches beside the wreckage of a failed R2 unit, seeking warmth from the fire flickering within its broken frame. Black Remnant design, skillfully printed by PhalanxPrintingUK.

A colleague’s son recently got a 3D printer and asked if I had any files they could use. Based on their description, I suspected it was an FDM printer. I handed them this Star Trek figure as a test subject, and they brought back the results. While some facial details were lost in the printing process, the figure is still functional and perfectly usable.

I started these in April when I picked up the Guards of Traitors Toll. I still have 12 models left to paint out of the box. There is one studio miniature thrown in there too.

Set myself the goal of finishing painting the last of my Ewoks (24 of the little warriors) over the past week. That brings my total to 38, split between 20 archers and 18 melee fighters. All resized to 28mm and printed by Madhouse3DPrinting.
The 24 I painted this week.

May has been another slow month for painting, but I did manage to put some colour on some sci-fi buildings I built and primed about 3 years ago. o_o
They’re pretty simple, just cardboard gift boxes chopped up and stuck back together, with some doors, windows and details glued on. Originally they were just meant to be line of sight blockers, but last week I decided that I wanted something to represent interiors, so I added bases that have simplified interiors and cut outs to show where doors and windows are. The main building lifts off to show the interior and allow game play inside.
They’re meant to be prefab structures for frontier worlds, but I think I could get away with using them for modern and post-apocalypse games - some of the actual buildings in my neighborhood are at least that ugly…
-
Those buildings-from-boxes are excellent and the interior idea is a gem. Thanks for sharing some good ideas and some good work as well👍.

Most of my stuff recently has been for Post Apocalyptic games and is posted there, but I am finally knocking out the Oathmark Goblin Wolf Riders to be used with EKPS. Here are the four special characters, a Captain, a Herald, a Fighter, and a Scout. Those are the metal wolves.

Technically May isn't over yet, and while I will paint some more tonight and tomorrow, I doubt I'll actually complete any miniature.
Nevertheless, this has been one of the most productive months in a very long while.
