Had a pretty big El Cid game at Chris Flowers Barn. a LOT of figures and 9 players, I wonder if it was a bit too much for one day, the full game write up and pictures are here; https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/2025/05/largish-el-cid-game.html

Amazing stuff, I always enjoy your AARs and the eye candy is a joy too.
-
Absolutely huge! What a spectacle. I can see why it was a struggle to finish though, I’ve been there!
Have you tried To The Strongest? It’s the fastest playing game I know for such a big game, especially because units usually have two hits, so it cracks on at quite a rate.

Impressive and pretty. Well done young Sir. :)

A great site to see. Wonderful collections all around.

Looks like a great game!

Cheers guys, James I have not tried to the strongest, I do think however we just had too many players ad too many figures, it would be pretty rare we would try something so large in future.

Spent a while just looking at the pictures and reading the blog. Such an inspiring looking game with great figures and so many of them. One of those sort of matches most of us day dream about!
-
Cheers for that, we are blessed to be able to play this sort of game every other month at Chris's barn. We have since played a 1920 Poland game to watch out for.

Fantastic stuff Roger :-* :-* :-*
I love those larger than life battle reports you chaps regularly put out. :-* :-* :-*
We've got a large El Cid era game coming up this Thursday though I feel it may look rather small compared to your efforts!
