Salve Citizens,
I didn't know what to title this as it will be a random smattering of anything period related I can manage to finish, but my good friend had (its still up) a blog called Painting The Lead Pile, so I'd like to think he'd appreciate the nod for now. At any rate, these "random" (as in lacking project scope) figures had found their way onto my painting desk whilst brushing off the cobwebs of my fundamentals (as in not painting over drying paint, how to LOAD the brush, etc... lol)I had almost fully developed years ago (it may not be like riding a bike), while trying to learn new things I had been ignorant of - you can see my hit and miss recent progress with my small growing WotR project over on the Medieval thread, but its not much yet! Anyways, not much going on by me in the wargaming world, so hopefully wanting to share some pics will be a bit of a motivator hehe

Me too. I thought the paint was spitting.
Love the shading on the work. You get great depth.
And it reminds us that not every thing needs to be a big project.

Hahaha yes, my apologies, the syntax leaves much to be desired, I’ll have to adjust it ;)
I appreciate the kind words!. And very true Ran, I find it quite relaxing and rewarding to simply grab a figure and paint it off the cuff, and it’s certainly a favorable scenario for personal growth - I’m thinking “The Last Samurai” scene regarding “Too many mind”. Without all the pressure and 300 meter targets, it’s a great environment for discovering new things I normally wouldn’t pay attention to, as well as trigger a few “eureka” moments where knowledge I had acquired but not understood finally began to click.
