Have just uploaded an after action report using out home brew AWI rules. You can find a full report here: https://steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.com/2025/06/awi-battle-playtesting-rules.html (https://steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.com/2025/06/awi-battle-playtesting-rules.html)

Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for the write up. A great collection there. Good luck on you playtesting.

Very interesting. Good to see the Americans go toe-to-toe with the British, and not have their arses handed to them.
I for one would be interested in seeing your rules once you're happy with them...
As it turns out, my gaming group is going the the AWI this Friday (the 4th of July, so we thought the AWI would be an appropriate period to game that day....). The scenario details should be up on the "AWI Stuff" thread here in just a little bit.

Thank you both. Quite happy to hand them out when they are ready. They give a very good game with lots of twists and turns. I must admit those pesky rebels put up a good fight, especially that bloody light infantry regiment!

Great looking game, and ARR.

Thank you. I hope to do more AARs going forward. Always enjoy reading them myself.

Nice one Steve, nice looking table.
I am getting excited about returning to painting AWI this year, planning some purchases over the next couple of weeks.
Cheers
Matt

Cheers Matt. Yes, AWI is a real favourite with us, it has a really different "feel" to the games.
