Hi folks,
I don't post here much, mostly because I don't do anything like as much painting or gaming as I would like. But last year I bought the mechanized portion of an Epic Eldar army from a fellow member here, SJWi, and I finally painted up the infantry to go along with them. I thought since I couldn't have done this without his great minis, I should share the results here!
I'll be fielding them in about a month at a tiny con that I run with my friends back in North Carolina, now that I have moved out to California. Here's hoping these guys make it through the webway back there safely!

A great looking force. Good luck with your travels through the webway!

Hi, I won't comment on my own painting but you have assembled a nice-looking force. Glad to see my vehicles are finally going to see some action after nearly 20 years sitting dormant in a box. Will you be using Epic 40K rules? I never got round to using them but I believe they are viewed as one of the better GW rulesets.

Thanks syrinx0, I'm honestly a bit nervous about how well they'll travel even as a carry-on, I have transported other minis before but not multibased infantry like this.
Simon, thanks once again, and like I said I hope I can pilot your vehicles well! We are going to be playing with the NetEA version of the Epic Armageddon ruleset which I have heard good things about and which looks interesting as I have read the rules while working up this list. My friends back in NC have been playing it semi-regularly and are enjoying it a lot. I'll post some pictures of the matchup here when it happens, and I guess my next move after we get back from the trip is to paint up an opfor of some sort and then try to convince someone in the local game group to try out a system that is about as old as most of them are....

Thanks for sharing. I would definitely collect and play the old epic games if there was any local interest. Some of the best games I have played were epic (2nd through 4th editions - all were great). Hope you have a blast and find some good opponents. Your Eldar look fantastic.

As Epic stuff is so small and light it actually travels pretty well.
I use foam inserts for all my Epic stuff. I think most of mine are 25mm x 40mm slots which I put 2 infantry or 1 vehicle in.

Fantastic! I wish these ranges were still available.

Thanks for the kind comments y'all. I really enjoyed this project, and while it was cooking along I (of course) wound up grabbing a mishmash of other old Epic stuff off ebay, dug out a box of Orks I had bought from someone else forever ago, invested in some of the great third-party Necron sculpts from Chaostemple, etc; hopefully I can get some local interest started with loaner armies. But either way this was a lot of fun to work on and I am looking forward to doing some more.
