Here is an interesting 1925 article on Soviet infantry tactics by Tukhachevsky. John D Salt on the Wargames Website posted this translation in 2019 but I hadn't seen it until recently.

Interesting, albeit bizarre. It's more of a brain fart than anything. To the best of my knowledge the Soviets never incorporated Maxims at platoon level and for good reason, trundling a 60+ kilo machine gun around plus ammo would have killed any mobility.
Maybe Stalin had a point when he offed Tuchachevksy?
