This is a Sakura-Beer fresh from Mojiko! These are made to the original 1913 recipe in the beer's original hometown under license from current owner Sapporo Beer. It's made different than the mass-produced version Sapporo puts out seasonally as it uses the original recipe, though both taste pretty much the same.

I like to drink Cider, in the warm weather.
Sips of Mead in the winter.
though I doubt I would qualify as a 'cool gamer' lol lol lol
-
You should be drinking Port with a cool boat like that. Yeah in theory Rum as well but never been too partial of that, so I stick to the good quality Port.
-
Armagnac. I buy a crate every year on my travels.
-
Gin drinks - martini, Charlie Chaplin and a variant of the Cubanada subbing gin for white rum.

I need to chill the port before drinking it; right now there's no room in the fridge. Then after it's chilled the whole bottle disappears in an afternoon and I've plowed through a season of anime.

Boddingtons.....or Asahi
Occasionally Kraken....but not if i'm using anything sharp!
-
I am pretty edgy here, but I like to drink water. If it is really warm, I will put it on the rocks too.
I know, I need to tone it down!
-
White Port this very minute.
-
As my wife does not allow me to drink Absinthe or Mezcal any more,it's got to be Pusser's Gunpowder proof British Navy Rum or a decent single malt Scottish whisky.

Fritz-Kola

Boddingtons.....
That's the man! I'm an imported or craft beer guy (who happens to despise the trend of over-hopped IPAs). The greatest beer in the world, IMO, is Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale. Second best is Old Speckled Hen. I love me a brown, English Mild, ESB, Altbier, etc.
For those of you using the Untappd app, I'm "WWMworldwidemike" on there. It says I'm sitting at having checked in with 1,396 beers, but this is my second profile on there, after the first one inexplicably was inaccessible. Maybe they were trying to cut me off...? lol

That explains a lot about me!

Wadworth 6X, the nectar of the gods!

Tyskie - beer from Poland.

I'm more of a bottled beer man myself. No special favourites. It depends what's behind the bar. Yesterday it was San Miguel. The one before Poretti
-
Espresso, or for WOTR Malmsey.

Talisker or Laphroaig.

You da man! Totally agreed. Your countrymen have much to answer for, all those revolting faux IPAs to start with. That shite now dominates world beer markets. If I want my beer to taste like Harpic then I can do it myself. On those rare occasions when I'm in a pub nowadays I'll ask for the 'least hipsterish' beer they have on tap. In winter I just drink Guiness.
I imbibe infrequently these days. There's an unopened bottle of Balvenie that's been staring at me for years. In summer I'll pour myself a glass of Lillet or Pimms and every now and again I'll crack open the Nêga Fulô for old time's sake. It's too good to make caipirinhas with. The one thing I do miss in this season is Cravinho, I'm down to my last third of a bottle.
None of this is even remotely cool. However when my wife and I lived in a little street off Largo 2 de Julho iin Salvador, there was a pé sujo* bar run by a very imposing black woman of indeterminate age (probably 70 +) who would produce plastic coke bottles of clear rocket fuel, presumably brewed on the premises or not far from. Devastating stuff. Adding a little lime juice and honey would make you impervious to typhoid. Tippled straight it took the lining off your oesophagus. That was super fucking cool.
*Dirty foot. A tiny dive bar, in this case in the front room of a run down house.

If Im out at the local pub in Gloucestershire its Tangle foot ;D

Proper Job.

When out and about for a walk on the hills I like to brew myself a wild, herbal, tea.
My current favourite is nettle and wild majoram. I always take a small camping stove with me (can't abide stewed tea from a flask), and then put a few leaves/flower heads in the mug and pour on the hot water and let it brew for a few minutes.
Lots of mugwort around now as well, and the flower heads on that make a nice brew. Not too many though because it can be quite bitter (mugwort was used in middle ages to add bitterness to beer before hops were introduced).

Ah you see you have hit a common Port bottle problem... Port is a drink which evaporates VERY fast. Once opened the liquid just evaporates at an amazing speed, even if the cork is in the bottle. Nothing can be done about this it seems after years of testing. So this means that if you want a drink you but just open another bottle (on a different day of course).
Thats my reasoning for the drastic drop in Port level in open bottles in the house and I'm sticking to it. Not sure the family are convinced with this rational. ;)

Tis' a problem common to most spirits and wines I fear, but never ale (not that larger shite though :-X) as that tends to be drunk in it's entirety :D ;).
For me I like any old fashioned proper ales (I am from Kent), Porters long before they became popular again (in the winter) and nicer IPAs and ciders in the summer months when flippin' hot. However, I will never become a member of Camra as erstwhile as that organisation is, because I don't like the pretentiousness that surrounds wine, and I`m leery of it happening to ale lol. If I likes it, I likes it!!!!
-
I surprised that no one has mentioned the preferred beverage of all good painters, the water in your brush cleaning mug! lol
-
Water and coffee for me most days, with kids and such.
I used to be a bit mad for Whiskey of all sorts and had a great deal of bourbon, scotches, whisky and whiskey from around the world, alas I no longer see the friends I used to drink and game with near as much, and a large shelf of glass bottles is not safe from two crazy little girls, so my collection lives in my garage in wine bottle moving boxes.

If I do indulge beyond water, I delve into the occasional Root Beer/Sarsaparilla. If I want something alcoholic, I tend to open up some Saki.

Saki can be good, but only at the correct temperature. I used to drink it occasionally just as I.used to know what that temperature was supposed to be. lol

I keep a pretty well stocked medicine cabinet here.
To go with meals, it's usually cider or a really light session beer to wash the food down, even one of the American malt-tonic ones. Asahi for something tastier and heavier.
Sometimes we'll do saki while playing a board game (some are best warmed, some are best chilled).
Evening drink is sometimes a cocktail, but generally whisky, with a goodly assortment on hand of swilling whiskies (Canadian ryes) and sipping whiskies (Irish, Scotch, Japanese).
Deep in the dog days here, it's the traditional summer drink since my childhood — a highball! Although these days I mix it with a lot more Canadian Club and a lot less ginger ale than when my parents served it while playing cards with the family on hot summer nights.
=^,^=

Bourbon here. Many labels. And always on the rocks. I'm a sipper...

Mike, your taste in beer is a good as your taste in games! Have you tried Sneck Lifter from Jennings Brewery?

Tonight’s was a 26 of Eau Claire Rupert’s Whisky; made just south west of Calgary in Turner Valley.
Very clean and drinkable.
-
Just add American tears for the perfect cocktail. ;)

Welcome back Doug, nice for the county to host one of its finest imports and a true 38 campaign legend

When in the UK, i will explore whatever real ale bitter is on tap at the local. I like malt forward beers when it’s cool outside. Speckled Hen or Proper Job when i am buying in the shops for home drinking, but a Ruby Hobgoblin has been been drunk more than once when i am at the painting station.
When in New Orleans and summer, it’s usually Founder’s All Day IPA (a session IPA of lower alcohol and not so crazily hopped really more a pale ale). In winter i drink more standard American or Imperial IPAs. I wish Belhaven still did the British style IPAs: a perfect balance of hop to sweetness of malt, but i haven’t seen it in years.
I like a lot of Belgian Trappist Tripels no matter where I am.
Whiskies: Laphroig at home, Jameson or Famous Grouse when out. I particularly like fresh lemongrass-gingero with a lot of ice with less expensive whiskies on a hot summer day.
I drink a lot of 4 water grog with Pusser’s (or Kraken if i want a bit of spice and can’t be bothered to grate the nutmeg.). Diplomatico if i am sipping straight rum.
Ports, Sherries and Madiera are all good evening drinks before and after the meal.
You cannot be drunk all day unless you start first thing in morning. Mimosas except during Mardi Gras when I drink milk punches.

Thank you! I have not heard of it. I will keep an eye out for it, though. I'll stop at my usual spot I buy beer and have a chat with the manager to see if he can order it.

I thought there was a legal requirement to wear a cloth cap when drinking Tetley's?
For guaranteed drinking pleasure, any of the produce from the Hook Norton Brewery but Old Hooky is a favourite. It even survives trans global shipping.

Thanks Roo - unfortunately the reason for the visit was melancholy but being in Ledbury on a lovely summer’s evening was a treat. How’s the campaign coming along - you still in prison :D

To quote a famous rapper…’back by dope demand’…You cannot keep a man like Stokkies Joubert caged for long…even his rivals on the battlefield missed him 😉💪

These days I rarely have anything alcoholic while gaming, as I usually drive to a mate's place to do it. So it's usually tea and/or water, depending on the weather.
-
Tonight I enjoyed an “Old Fashioned”. No American Bourbon. Only Canadian whisky. Guess what? ELBOWS UP. 🇨🇦
-
I've always made my Old Fashioneds and Manhattans with Canadian rye instead of bourbon. Canadian Club is my preferred cocktail rye.
But here in Boston, we're like from Southern Canada, eh ya'll?
Growing up, went to a lot of Bruins games (of course the entire team was from Canada), it was always great to see Gordie Howe and "Pie" McKenzie going at it in the corners, elbows up indeed!
-
I'm sorry to both Herbert Tarkel and Cat for saying this (and I mean no offence), but it seems a horrible, horrible thing to do to a good whiskey, have you no tastebuds? lol
-
CC is a great tasting swilling whisky and mixer! Also VO for swilling when quantity and or speed of application matters; but I like the extra bite of CC in cocktails.
Black Bush or a single malt for sipping whiskies.

Bit surprised we still haven't had any hands up for Buckfast, goon bag riesling or methylated spirits.

That's nice, I do Scotch from time to time though usually its Lagavulin.
-
I do prefer the western isles single malts to any of the highland ones but the Islay ones are among the best. And, as Monty Python might have said, Lagavulin is a peaty, heavy whiskey particularly suited for hand-to-hand combat! lol

Did they have any words for Ardbeg then? Some of that and you may want to start some hand-to-hand combat.
-
Yeah, go and look up the Monty Python 'Australian Table Wines' sketch and bear in mind that 2 of my favourite whiskey's are Laphroiag and Lagavulin.
-
lol in my defence my Christian name is in a lot of the whiskeys and single malts of Scotland.
