Title: creating low-cost wargaming boards post
Post by: tereydavi on July 31, 2025, 04:26:43 PM
I consider this post important, as it helps everyone who is just starting out in wargaming with something as crucial as building a visually appealing gaming table without spending a fortune.

Couldn't agree more.

You can stretch your dollar/euro even further by waiting for discounts. Papercraft sellers on wargamevault.com regularly have offers and discounts. Christmas village stuff is often discounted right after Christmas. The buildings are still pricey, but look for bags of fir trees, moss, walls and other smaller items.

And remember: Anything could be turned into terrain (but you still need glue and paint).

Before and after:
(the painted ones are actually from other pastry containers, but you get the idea)
