Hi,
I am looking for ww2 era posters, advertising or propaganda or other, it doesnt really matter, as long as it is something I can put on the walls of buildings. Of course they need to look good :-) In particular, what I would love (ideally) would be some form of transfer with advertising posters in color in ca 28mm/1:60 scale. I dont have a color printer, so I cant just print an image on paper and post it on the wall of the building (might do it if I could perhaps color-in a b/w image without too much work?). All tips and ideas most welcome. I could use posters that fit France/Normandy, Belgium, western Germany or eastern Europe as I have a few different buildings.
I am sorry if this has been discussed in one or more old threads - I did a quick search but did not quite find what I was looking for.

Not having a printer is the biggest drawback here, I feel. Loads of sites have sheets of posters you can download and print out without too much trouble - could you use a computer/colour printer at your local library at all? Sometimes they have them for people to use and I've done that in the past.
Failing that there are many sets available - ebay generally has a fair selection in ho/oo (for railway layouts), as do some railway modelling sites. Don't worry too much about the difference in size between ho/oo, n gauge or 28mm - most posters were available in all different sizes so shouldn't be a problem.

Rapid Fire website has a number of free downloads that may be ok for you. But of course they need printing

Google Great Patriotic War posters, a load of images come up, of course they're all Soviet stuff.

Tiny Tin Troops might sell what you are after.

If you don't fancy printing them yourself, I'd reccomend this mob:

Thank you for all of these excellent suggestions. As several of you point out, the scale doesnt have to be exact for it to look good. And for the printing, Ill see what I can do...
Again, big thanks for all the advice!

Not sure how it works where you live, but our local library has PCs one can use to access the internet, print stuff, etc. A Google image search of "WW2 advertising posters" or WW2 propaganda posters" (you could even specify nationality) brings up a whole pile of stuff you could print for nothing. Does your local library offer such a service?

I wonder whether the local library has a decent color printer. But I have been in contact with a local printer's for other things, so I might give that a try.
