Sad day for me in that I discovered him in the mid 80's during my Car Wars years and I would often see him at conventions several times a year and have interactions and conversations. A nice person/gentleman each and every time.
Another old school name has passed on to the void.

Grimm,
Thanks for sharing. I bought a lot of figures for Modern Warfare from him. He was a great guy who shared many stories. I for one will miss him. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace my friend.
Regards,

I don't recognize the name. Was he an industry guy, a sculptor, designer, or just a good wargaming guy?

I do recognise the name, even though I've never bought his figures or games over the years. He sold figures and games from the 70's onwards, he was one of THE icons of the games industry and I'm not doing him justice, sorry.
A sad day - another legend has passed beyond the rim.

Oh no!!! This is terrible news.
I purchased quite a bit of his Road Warrior line in the early 2000s for my Dark Future games. Some of those painted figs still haunt the old Future Highways site (which I’m surprised is still up).

His minis were pretty much the only line going in that scale for post apocalyptic battles. His site was a real lifeline for me back then. I should have just sent him an email out of the blue just as a token of gratitude from a hobbyist. Dang, time slipping by sucks.
My condolences to his friends and family. I never meet him, but from my limited interactions via email, the hobby world is losing a legend.
Edit: where is this sad news being reported?

Thanks for sharing the obituary.

Well, crap. I always heard he was a great guy, and most of my Gaslands cars were fitted out with exclusively his stuff.
Godspeed, Stan. Thanks.

A sad day for a genuine legend…
