This is long overdue, but I wanted to mention it here.
A couple weeks ago, after admiring Mancha's work on the Filatov three wheeled armored car in the "Build Something" Contest (and watching my own creation get thoroughly trashed;) ), I contacted him about possibly doing up a master for casting by Black Army.
He has graciously agreed, and I am thrilled. His work will compliment Tobi's very nicely!
Amazingly, the Filatovs did see combat during the Great War, and some were still on Soviet rolls in the mid 1920s, so it'll be a great vehicle for WW1 or the RCW, not to mention yet more "Back of Beyond" type stuff. I think this must rank it as one of the few completely indigenous Russian prototype vehicles from the war to see actual combat service!
Mancha is currently working on building a "castable" master for Black Army. What he's updated me on so far looks very promising, and I expect it'll turn out beautifully. If things go well, the Filatov might very well go off for casting around the same time as Tobi's Romfell, which means that it might be available as early as late February.
Very happy to make this announcement, and I hope you'll give Mancha some support by having a look at his model (and maybe voting for it) in the Build Something finals. It's really a beautiful piece, and it's a great excuse for another unusual vehicle to add to your line up.

oh, come on - confess!!
You simply wanted to beef up Your Quar with a strange vehicle ;) :D :D
fine, nice, so it's already 4 vehicles from BAP
and 7 minis, and a book!
that's what I call impetus :D

Great news Alex, an a big thanks to Mancha's work too.
There won't be any infantry on the gaming table only armoured cars by the looks of things to come. lol
Now all we need is the RNAS Commanded by Commander Oliver Locker Lampson, RNVR, MP for the Eastern Front and various other tourist locations assisting the Russians against Austria, Germany etc.

Yes, now the walking Ghost seems pretty well adaptable to a riding Ghost
maybe You could get Your modeller to kick Julian apostate from his horse including saddle and adapt both figures to a new rider?
and Yes - SALA's Sky band please too - there are far too few female pilots
then You can go berserk on the villain legions ;)

lol
Well, you know how it is. Give a man a machine gun, that's one thing. Give him an armored box with an engine to put it in....
Mancha's got a wonderful talent. I think between he and Tobi, we'll have some great sales in the new year. Even if we don't, these things are TOO cool! And that means that somebody out there is going to appreciate them. :-*
I do admit I've been on a real Quar kick lately, former user, but I assure you that this played only a SMALL role in my consideration... you can bet your sweet bippy the thing's going to show up in Quar markings at some point, however;)
Agreed that we always need more dames. We have one female historical character - Kawashima Yoshiko - being worked on by Leandro Ventic at the moment, and I strongly suspect that the first French Concession character will be a female mad scientist - the wife has had an awesome character concept, and it deserves to be made. More to come, of course. (And yes, I'm still open to suggestions for future miniatures.)

Err, now I'm feeling some pressure. :(
But no fear, it's coming along well. I'm very hopeful it will be done and on its way to Doc before Christmas.
I had no idea these things actually saw service though. Can you share your information and/or source?
