Post by: Sangennaru on 16 December 2009, 09:51:08 PM
ok, maybe that's the wrong place where to start this thread.

BUT i'm having some problems on uploading my own avatar... Maybe it's because of my newbieness, but... how can I do? I tried resizing the image but it didn't work!

what to say... I'm the only one here without a face... please gimmie one! :P

Jack

Could be a problem either with the file not being square or too large a file (in kb).

I´ve resized it and saved it as a 5.65kb JPG:

Try to download it and upload to the forum. If it doesn't work, let me know.

Cool. Thanks everyone, I did it!
Unfortunately, the avatar has to be square.. the original photo was much better! :P

Hm, must have done it subconciously - I´m always terribly irritated if an avatar is NOT looking at the posting text (or directly at the reader)! lol

I'm exactly the same, as long as the picture isn't a gif (sometimes even if it is) I try to get it so that it is looking "into the page."

Annoys me no end when I find a forum that for some sick disturbed reason puts the poster information on the right hand side of the screen and I have to swap a picture back the other way.

Could it be that teh software doesn't allow for images of Val Kilmer to be uploaded?! [thumbsup emoticon]

Doc Holiday is a dentist, so should really be looking straight down your throat (and asking if you want the scale and polish).

Help I am having the same trouble uploading an Avatar
I thought it was about time I got my own.
I tried to upload this picture
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/5/1912_13_04_10_12_53_37.JPG)
But no joy.
I have tried the things mentioned above.
Any ideas

Sorry as you will see to the side I have managed to stop being stupid and get it to work. It was 2 pix out of size
