Ok so the people showing off adding LEDs all over youtube and well it looks like fun.
But how well does it work with metal miniatures ?
I can't cut a few drill or cut channels an then glue it together.
And while i can drill a hole to pin minis together, getting a hole thru the lengthwise length of wizard staff just asking too much of a hand drill.
So i was things of just warping the wires around the outside.
But then another trick modern electrics turned up, Induction LEDs the whole thing can be wireless, i just drill out the staffs top an add clear resin or molded hot glue.
But do the Induction LEDs and metal miniatures even work? does the paint burn off like the metallic finishes on a bowl in the microwave?

for a start, don't put metal in the microwave.

You can drill and cut channels with metals but it will take lots of putty work to get them back to looking good. Your second option is also doable but again will require cleanup with putty. Either way it is much more difficult to wire metals.

cut off the staff completely and replace with a copper tube, thread the wire up the tube and do whatever you need at the top and the bottom.

This.
Or even better, isolationwise, use styrene tube.
And use LEDs that are rated higher than your powersource (or use heavier resistors) to prevent them from getting hot.
