Pulp is has been a period that has interested me for a while now and I have quite a few suitable figures and scatter terrain in 28mm already. Also I like making terrain and the wide and varied terrain for Pulp is a plus and a minus. But I realise now that the time, storage and cost of 28mm may no longer be practical, so I'm looking at 15/18mm instead (especially after a similar project with 15mm scifi).
So I'm keen to hear from others who have played Pulp in 15mm and how was the experience? My main concern is that the figures may be too small to capture some of the individual characters well, and sometimes painting them to make the details pop on the table is hard.
I'm interested to hear how well the different manufacturers mix. I'm leaning towards Blue Moon as I can get them at a reasonable price and their range is large, so I'm keen to find out how well other ranges mix with them eg Rebel Minis, Khurasan and CP Models (I already have some of their cultists which are nice).
Also suggestions for planes, vehicles, ships etc would be welcome.
Thanks for reading my ramble!

Following with interest.
I already have some 3d pulp noir minis to be printed & i am playing around with the idea of painting them in monotone just like a black & white movie.

I am deep into doing this myself - though 15 mm has been my scale of choice for many decades. But 'pulp' is new for me. Find my recent threads here on the Pulp pages.
I currently have about 150 additional figures on the painting table in process.
As to individual character, I find I can field maybe 200-300 unique figures for pulp games (though I've not really counted in detail so could be more or less) among the roughly 400 currently either painted or underway for my first pulp game to be run in November. I worry less about the quality of individual painted figures and more about the overall 'experience' of the game. Rules of choice are Fistful of Lead: Bigger Battles so the number of figures not as out of line as some might think (I'm looking at Pulp Alley square in the eye).
My main sources for figures are Khurasan, Rebel Minis, Old Glory's Bluemoon ranges, Peter Pig, Highlander Studio. Irregular Miniatures as well but have to be a bit careful about mixing them in - though they fit fine generally with Bluemoon. Might be a few odd Minifigs in the mix. And always on the lookout for new items that might help enhance the options.
3D printed buildings have exploded opportunities for suitable buildings.
I shall be watching with interest how you get on.
