Sorry for so many uniform questions, but can anybody help me with Prussian sailor uniform???
-
Good question. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of one. Prussia never had much of a navy, and images are a little thin on the ground. But if your game is set after 1866 you don't need to worry anyway, as the Prussian Navy no longer existed after that time. Pictures of Imperial German sailors on the other hand are pretty easy to find.
For example...

Sorry I can't be more help with the Prussians, but as it's VSF maybe it don't matter too much.

If your VSF setting has Prussia rather than a united German Empire then you might consider using this cool Prussian war ensign rather than the more familiar Imperial one.

Just a thought.

Perhaps this might help you a little bit:

These uniforms seem to be very early Imperial German ones from the 1870s.
As for the ranks, they are from the left to the right:
Unterleutnant (full-dress)
Kapitänleutnant (overcoat)
Admiral (full-dress)
Kapitän (full-dress)
Leutnant (overcoat)
Korvetten-Kapitän (overcoat)
Deckoffizier
Vize-Säbel-Kadett
Feldwebel
As for the uniform of an ordinary sailor, they wore white trousers and blue shirts.

They look like they're up to something...

It's a famous picture representing the planning stage of the invasion of Britain in 1877. ;)

When the Foundry range first came out Alan & Michael did a uniform / painting guide and I could remember a sailor on there. I have just dug it out and unfortunately it is a French seaman not Prussian. Worth a look though.

Fear not, if you look very closely you can see Michael York in the background keeping an eye on them.
