Finally painted after having sat undercoated on the shelf for most of the year. ::)

Beautifully done. I love that set and you have really done it justice :-*
How have you based the gun? I assume it's on a washer of some sort. Too big for a coin?
I am toying with basing my guns, as they are free-standing at present and bases give them a bit more protection against damage. I prefer to have the crew on separate bases, but it depends on the rules you use of course :)

Lovely!

Indeed, great figures wonderfully painted.

Looks to me as if it's on one of the old large GW bases, but I could be wrong.
I base my guns on 40mm round bases with two crew, the rest of the crew being based singularly.

Could be - I'd forgotten their larger bases aren't horrid slottas :)

:-*
Oh, that is ace!

Champion!
I've come around to the idea of single big bases for artillery and MGs. I used to like the versatility across game systems that single-figure basing gives, but the "little diorama" aspect of a gun team on one base far outweighs that usefulness I think. It just looks so much better done this way.

Yep! Luvvverrllyy

True and it would be easy to find a pleasing visual way to represent casualties. Worth trying, I think.

Who made this gun? I am looking for one for a French VSF project.
Edit: Btw it looks great :D

Foundry. At least the crew is and I'm 99% sure it's the same gun, but mine is stored away somewhere safe where I can't get to it to check >:(

Here it is on the foundry site:

Foundry also have some nice bases intended for their "Napoleon" rules:

Which would be the right size. Must put an order in while they still have the 20% off sale on!

Wish I'd had the presence of mind to put all this in one post ::)

Really top-notch.

Jolly nice Paul.
I love the little chap covering his ears. :)

Who's been a busy boy over Christmas - first Geezers and now these.
Very nicely done. :)

Tanks very much chaps. I was rather pleased how it came out.

Spot on old chap, one of their 60mm bases (Pity they stopped doing them in single-size bags)
I decided they looked better based as a group rather than all on seperate bases, and agree completely with Plynkes. If I do need to show casualties I can place some of the dead/wounded miniatures I painted alongside.

Much better than chits/tokens/rings which I generally dislike in games as they ruin the asthetic.
