Title: Top 5 miniatures
Post by: alone_withmyaxe on 01 January 2010, 09:40:01 PM
A happy new year to you all.

After the holiday season, I, as I am sure a lot of us are are a little short of 'fun cash' :(

So with all the new shiny lead bits we want to buy and a lack of cash to do it I choose to look through my lead mountain and pick out my favourites so I feel less depressed about all the ones I want to own and can't afford, and remind myself of the fantastic ones I already have. Some  may need paint and/or a game to play in but they are fantastic and I already own them!.

Have a look, feel free to pass comments
and
most importantly I invite you to look through your lead mountain and revel in the fantasticness of your top 5 miniatures. :D

Copplestone Castings, Gun Molls - Sassy girl with a tommy gun, need I say more!

RAFM, M.U. Expedition to Egypt - Awesome, you got to love tentacles!

Pulp Figures, Weird Villains - Just so much detail in this one, still scared to put a brush on it as I doubt my skills to do it justice.

Artizan Designs, Eccentrics - Really emotive character full of menace!

Ebay? Crazies - not sure where this one came from originally so if you know please tell me. I love the detail in the face the wild hair and 1 eyed teddy bear!

West Wind (http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=68). What a weird coincidence. I was just ordering this pack because I need some maniacs for my games...

I love that your list is so diverse, representing five companies.

Thanks for that Dolmot, I had no idea and it was bugging me, West wind are now favourited :)

Most of my collection Mancha comes from Copplestone and Pulp, but I have managed to pick up various other bits and bobs from ebay and am now eyeing up foundry and some more artizan stuff, but it will all have to wait for cash. I do have a variety of the grenadier miniatures both original new/old stock and some from EM4

These are my personal general top 5 Prof. but I only collect Cthulhu related miniatures! I am quite good in that I limit my buying to keep the lead mountain more of a lead hillock, I have about 130 minis, cars and bits of scenery. Sold all my old fantasy, GW and various future war last year to clear space and focus on the Cthulhu 20/30s stuff.

Cheers all and I would love to see your top 5

130? That doesn't count as a hillock! That's gravel! My latest order from Conquest Miniatures alone contained 42 figures! (And one canoe...)

 lol lol lol lol
That is a fair comment! If I ordered all that I wanted I would probably still only triple it, my collection is fairly small in comparison to most...

130 models? You're what, 11 or something? ;)

Top five....hmm. At this point, I would be lucky to be able to narrow it down to top 100.

I am in Oregon, so that is not out of the question.

most shocking is the fact that more than half of it looks to be (at least partially) painted O_O
