Great, that's a must have! Can we pre-order it?

I need to get an order in soon as well, real life meant I haven't been able to order much since the initial releases  :-[

I`m planning to put it up for pre-order on the website around Jan 15th, though I may do it sooner if Mike doesn`t mind keeping track of the preorders for a few extra weeks.

I should have a firm release date by the end of the day, once I've squared it away with the printers. Just gotta brave the snow...

Awesome! I've been looking for an excuse to pick up these rules, and now seems like the time to do it!

BTW: How hard would it be to shift the campaign to Victorian London?

Keep up the good work...

Well, if you just want to change the weapons up, it's fairly easy.  If, on the other hand, you're looking to introduce some completely new game mechanics, it could easily take a year or so develop...   :-X

Not keen on the suicide cultist personally, not a great sculpt or concept sorry. Far better and more grizzly ways to be rent assunder by the dark ones than any explosive that man to conjure up.

commander vyper, you are assuming that when he hits the button he explodes,

it could be equally likely his sacrifice summons some gribbly, drooly horror in his place >:D

A suicide cult now too? Any word on cultists armed with rifles and shotguns? I found the first two poses to be easy to modify into having clubs and bigger handguns, but I need a marksman. :)

"Nine completely new Lurkers,...."

Hey,
please can you be so kind and post the names of the Lurkers, so that I can start buying and assembling the minis,
because now I have time  ;)

New Lurkers are as follows: Giant Vermin, Swarm, Mad Scientist, Rogue Threshold Character, Rogue Threshold Agent, Henchman, Suicide Cultist, Tcho-Tcho, Hybrid, Shambler and Fire Daemon.

And Bako, have models for the Cultists with Shotgun and Tommy Gun...out in a month or two...

Sounds good  :D

Are shamblers comparable to dimensional shamblers
and what to compare a Tcho-Tcho?

I think weapons would be sufficient and some tweaks to the background. I can't really think of any "special" rules that would be necessary. What were you thinking?

Loki,

tcho-tcho are humans, usually of a depraved cultisty type, somewhat similar to the Hmong in vietnam.

Our artist's Tcho-Tcho rendition is rather unique, but any short and unpleasant looking fellows should do the job.  They come unarmed, so you can give them whatever weapons you like, but they're actually fairly effective without.

In regard to the Victorian setting, this is my project and still very much "in development".  I have a lot of crazy ideas, but there's no saying what will actually make it into the final game at this stage.  Much research and playtesting still to be done.  I'll start up a new thread once I'm further along, so you can all fling your brilliant Lurker suggestions at me  :D

Shocking Tales #1 is now available to order at www.unclemikesworldwide.com!  Shipping will commence this Friday.

We've also created a special offer, the "Seduction of Innocence" deal, which bundles the expansion together with the Core Rulebook plus a miniature pack of your choice for $49.95 (basically means you get the minis for half price).  Great for anyone that's held off buying the rulebook, or perhaps has a friend looking for their own copy.

Knew we could count on you Jim!  Make sure to take a good look at page 27 when you get your copy  ;)

Seems our most loyal fanbase is in Britain.  Maybe I should move out there and set up a field office.  Anyone know of any decent positions for a graphic designer/editor?

Got my copy all ready, no reason not to use my flame thrower agent now, but it also means I need send away for an other Artizan Thrilling Tale flame thrower cultist.
Only took 5 days from Canada  to the UK.

Received Shocking Tales today and it looks really, really cool!
The layout and design are topjob, like the rulebook. It uses the same great style and reads really well. There are some great eye catching pictures in it and the spoiler for the next book looks super...can't wait for that one!

If you're wondering if you should get it, I'd say you should, because:
1) It offers new options in terms of weaponry. It has new basic weapons (Torches, Battle Axes, Bows, etc.) and it offers special stuff. The special stuff is restricted to experienced groups, so the book offers a lot if you have experienced Agents and you want to spice them up. The special stuff are animals (dogs, horses and a falcon!), special weapons and gear (tezla gun, martian heat ray) and skills to match them.
2) It has a lot of awesome lurkers. It offers more options to field when you're playing the Lurkers, so you can get more varied matchups. All of them are terrific and I have some excellent ideas for miniatures (how's this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/Large-Fire-Elemental-51-R-D-D-Desert-of-Desolation_W0QQitemZ350162338440QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51874d4288) for the Fire Daemon eh?).
3) More scenarios. This will keep you going with more awesome scenarios. It gives new options, which is good in the long run.
4) The story reads really well and adds a lot of atmosphere to the game.
5) You'll get a free suicide cultist...who can't like that!
6) You'll support Mike, so he'll make more new stuff.

We'll be playing Strange Aeons next Saturday again and I want to try some of the new stuff. When I read the game used horses, I started painting an Agent on horse. But considering we're starting with a new Threshold list, I'll do a Conglomerate and the Suicide Cultist first ;)

I echo Mal,

had a look throguh and it's fantastic. Mikes Byakhee transatlantic delivery service managed to get it to the UK in under a week, that's got to be via some sort of blasphemous gate spell.

working on flaming demon and suicide cultist as i type :D

Thanks for the early praise guys.  Mike and I were quite proud of the final results on this one, even more so than the main rulebook, and are gratified that it's been basically flying off the shelves since release!  Of course this means we have to start working on the next one faster...

On the front of flamethrower-toting cultists, I'm kind of partial to Pulp Figures' Gasmask Cultists myself:

This fig is actually the genesis of the flamethrower rules, as I bought it about two years ago and harassed Mike incessantly  :D

Looking to make a group of lurkers the TchoTcho, would Pygmies fit the gender or would they be to small, as i seen these on the net http://www.fighting15sshop.co.uk/pygmies-of-the-lost-world-158-c.asp

Also, thanx for the kind words. Mal and Fairoaks, if you guys are ever in Canada you can stay at my place...and I'll sleep on the couch!

Shocking Tales #2 will be even crazier!!! Rules for Ghosts and about 15 more Lurkers...at least 4 Special Agents...2 full Black Dossier Case Files...more fiction...
and if we can squeeze it in: rules for mobs and multi-player games...

Mine arrived earlier this week.  Really top-notch.  I especially liked the first part of the Cult of the Thirteen (if I remember the title correctly).  Can't wait for issue 2!  In the meantime, I guess I need to work up to that promotion!
