Nice jobs, by the way. :)

BTW, which option is better regarding the posting of images in these "What I painted in…" treads?
Make a "reply" each time we paint something new?, add pictures to an existing post? …or wait until the month is over before posting anything? :?

I know it has been a bit of a running joke to get in first but surely this is the essence of the original idea. I recently felt like starting a "what I painted in April 2013" thread but thought better of it ;D

Agreed.
Also, that middle officer has a really long finger...

a lousy picture for my first image post - I must get a better camera and learn how to use it
anyway the Westwind and the old GW Werewolves and the Cat Creatures were painted last week, the Black Tree GI and the dino are just stage dressing

Not a prolific month, but it's been the first time I've picked up a brush for over a year.
That completes my set of TAG modern US rangers. But curse that digital camo! I tried to stipple it on, but it just looks like bad dry-brushing.

I finally got back to some painting, first things I've finished since October I think.
Most of a Warband for Song of Blades (I still need to pick up a couple more javelin men):
(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-shareef.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-abdulsabur.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-standard-1.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-drummer-1.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-skirmisher-1.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-skirmisher-2.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-skirmisher-3.jpg)(http://revford.co.uk/images/fantasy-shareef-skirmisher-4.jpg)
All from Artizan.
-
Neat warband, Rev. Which Artizan line are those from?
I've painted up 24 dinosaurs this month - no pictures yet, sorry. Also one Reaper "cloaked assassin" I snagged off the sale rack at the FLGS, and used as an experimental piece in blending and mixing. Neat blue robes, I'll try and get some decent pictures soon.
I might actually sell the assassin, as he doesn't really fit in with any of my current projects, but seems like too neat a figure to just leave sulking in a box!
-
Its summer here but since we have not had a dry weekend since the begining of November I managed to get lots of things painted . I had no Rugby to distract me either :-[
New project , Vietnam . These are not quite finished yet as I need to decide how to finish the weapons and a couple of other things like basing . They also need another coat of matt varnish . I have a second batch almost at this stage but found out that I had used the wrong colour for the uniform AFTER I had magic washed and varnished them. >:(

Some observers for Dads Army.
And some buildings for THE one true scale , which I am really enjoying picking up again. ;D

Cheers, they are Berber troops from the Dark Age Moors range:
http://artizandesigns.com/list.php?cat=106
I've had my eye on them for years, but couldn't convince our group to have a crack at Dark Age stuff, so I've sneakied them into a fantasy game. :D
-
Love the Home Guard observers Dan :D :D
Here's a WW1 Sniper that i did this week:

I like this sniper base Aircav, that's a nicely painted piece.
There's a lot of lovely stuff again this month on this tread... That's always inspiring to see all those different minis.
-
I was determined to manage one a day in January. After a great start and having twenty done by the 7th I struggled but ended on thirty two. I had to stay up until 11.45pm last night to do it though. In the end I did -
20 Dixon Samurai
8 Mutineer British Infantry
2 Perry Choson Koreans
2 Redoubt US Marines (Boxer Rebellion)
Now to see if I can manage twenty eight in February.
-
Adding to my posts on page 1, I also painted these this month…
(http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll206/Calimero_34/Photo1907.jpg)
24 Artizan Design Vikings…
Plus 3 Dixon ACW and a "test" figures for a Napoleonic Belgian Hussars unit. This bring the total painted this month to 35 figures and 4 horses… Not as much As I would have like to… That being said, I have a lot of other figures that are halfway done. Maybe the next LPL would encourage me to finish them? ;D
-
Great stuff, everyone. :-*
Especially like your fabulous output this month, Calimero. Chapeau!
Only managed 8 figures myself, so didn't get the camera out yet.
-
About 10 or so of Old Glory's Mahdist Ansar (generic 'natives') for me this month. I'd post some pictures, but I can't remember which ones they were, so if you just go back to some of my older posts and look at the natives posted there, and imagine they've been painted recently, ok?
Oh, and cracking stuff as usual. Those Dad's army observers in particular are great.
-
I also love the Dad's Army observers, Dan.
I take it that the guys in the pantomime cow costume hadn't seen Top Secret! before they volunteered?
-
I'm loving the dad's army observers!
So far, I have painted half of Sharke's regiment.
Been too caught up with sculpting recently! lol
-
Besides the Black Pearl conversion, I finished these this month...
4 scratchbuilt Rhinos using TIE crawler treads and GW bits, a Predator to match, Kharn the Betrayer, and some cannons for all my Pirates...and I finished off repainting a plastic toy that was for one of the Hulk movies.
A very red month.

Managed a half dozen Copplestone grey aliens (and scooty saucer), thirteen Phoenix Jaffa and two VOR Pharon Nobles for my Stargate baddies, and a small power orb/psychic amplifier/force field generator thing from Alpha Forge. 22 bits altogether.
Pictures of the greys are up in the Future Wars section, pics of everything else as and when the force is completed.
Was hoping for more this month after a bit of a hiatus, but as I'm currently painting out of a box lid on the living room floor rather than in my well equiped but unfortunately bastard freezing nerd-hole in the loft, I really couldn't manage any more. :(
-
And as I started this thread, I'll end it with stuff I painted on the 31st Jan:

And a further two pig iron ferrals with headswops earlier in the month:

The Commander

Slim pickens this month. :'(
More like nouvelle cuisine, given the quality.
Valleyboy, is that Othello leading the troops? If so, the figure two to his left has the sour look of Iago about him!
-
Some of the very same terminator robots everyone else is doing, with an SST addition for support. Decided to go with a different colour.

Marvellous :)
-
I love that paint scheme Marko! Really lovely!
-
Thanks, I was going for a "cartoony" look for these. I'm currently trying to figure out a similar style for my EM4/copplestone troopers, I feel kind of tempted to go with a white/red scheme...
marko
-
That is a very original and efficient paint scheme marko. Nice work! 8)
Those Landsknechts are really well painted, valleyboy. I’m officially jealous! ;D
-
Wow, some good stuff to start the year, I particularly like the terminators and the Infinity chap from Marko and Chambersofminiatures. The Commander's gas mask close up looks like there might be a face behind the glass too, spooky (in a good way). Here's my meagre offering for January:
35 in total, some extra details (not many) are here:
http://www.matakishi.com/paintinglog.htm
Various threads here will contain close ups in the near future I'm sure.
-
Great Stuff Matakishi! I am curious as to what game would be used with this basing set up. Inquiring minds and all...
-
Matakishi, some great stuff there, but ...
...you included Scrappy-Doo!?! :o :o :o
A brave choice, that.
-
Scrappy was included so you can tell which are the evil alien copies.
I base my figures for Crossfire which I use with certain modifications for all gunny bang games.
