So, looks like Marvel has re-imaged their X-Men in a new Pulpy type title

Spiderman Noir (thats him in my avatar 8)) is the only book of the Marvel Noir series I've had a chance to read but it was VERY good, which is high praise when I consider that I'm not much of a spidey fan.

Hopefully I'll get round to looking at the other Noir works some time...the best thing is because they are stand alone mini-series you don't get all that writer posturing and retconning that you often get with long running series, once the mini is done that's it nothing in the future is likely to go back and destroy something you liked.

Marvel almost never does the stand-alone stories that DC used to do.  A shame, as I think Marvel's characters have more potential.

I enjoyed Punisher Noir.
