I was given some Celtos stuff from a friend and now I'm curious about the game. Has anyone played it? If so what did you think of it?
Thanks

I have the rules and a ton of Gael, but never played it...

I have loads of the miniatures but not played a game yet. They are working on a new version with new army organisation.
They also have new sculpts done.

Hmm, we all seem to be in the same situation right down to the ton of Gaels.

Bought it a while back to read (don't play, just collect lead and read) - typescript makes it almost unreadable. Other than that it looks nice ::)

I'd trade my rulesbook for any spare Gaels you might have. PM if interested! I'm here in New York State as well.

Hi,
are the Celtos I-Kore miniatures sold yet?
In Italy they have disappeared from shops.
We may use Celtos miniatures for the Naran's Celts (Kelter), mounted on square bases, playing them with the rules of the always evergreen, very good, Nick Lund's wargame Fantasy Warriors, now distributed free by Mirliton, with our special armies list, also free downloaded from our Naran site: page "Naran Fantasy Wars" - "Eserciti". "n.18 - Esercito dei Kelter - Eroi di Avalon - Pitti":

We played them at the Champoluc Con (Aosta Valley) against the Imperial Roman Legion of Naran:

Hi Sergio
You can still get Celtos figures from Brigade Models in the UK, who are now the sole manufacturer:

Hi JollyBob,
many thanks,

I've always wanted to use the Gael figures for my Slaaneshi Chaos Marauders in WFB, but never had the spare money as yet.

Keltos follows the more-or-less standard mechanic for the systems developed by Target/I-Kore/whatevertheyarenow. Alternate activation of units/characters with so many action points available per unit/individual. Very much like the game 'Chronopia' if anyone is familiar with that one. Some friends and I played Chronopia quite a lot back in uni and really enjoyed it!! I've never played this one ( I did gaff a copy while they were up for download on freewargamesrules.co.uk before Brigade picked up the licence) and I'd love to give it a go sometime. I've always been into Celtic mythology and I quite like most of the range. The armies are quite characterful as well. All in all I'd imagine it's a winner. ;)

Consider Alternative Armies 'Erin' range of Irish Myth too. There's lots of Celtic styled miniatures in that range. Most of which are wonderful Bob Olley sculpts.

Thanks everyone. I have a lot of the I-Kore mini's I'm looking to play Celtic fantasy and I was hoping that these rules do a fair job of that.
