I thought it was about time I built a building, so here is my first stab/test piece. It is probably fairer to call it a shed rather then a house!
It is made from foam board and filler and will hopefully give some hard cover eventually. I am planing that it will eventually be built in to some 20s rural skirmish game boards, so lacks some proper plant life etc. at the moment, which I will add when it becomes part of a whole piece, I also have a standing stone for this board.
Anyway...

What do you think?

looks very nice
how about animating it as a small workshop, with a workbench and tool rack, and some stuff outside - pile of wood, chopping block, a shed?
don't know, something like that...

I scratchbuilt some interiors for some sheds, like that. For Arkansas Zombie gaming. Easy. PM me for pics.

Could also work as a small chapel. Add a wodden door, colored windows and a wooden crucifix on the roof.

that's a cute idea!

I love both of these ideas, I may have to build another so I can do both, then a farm house for them to be attached to.
Thanks guys!

Great start. You may want to change the basing, especially if you go larger, as foamboard has a tendency to warp if it gets too damp.

Yeah, I have noticed that! >:(
It eventually become part of a 48"x48" base board made out of ply or similar, I think it will be on a set of buildings board, including a house, a small chapel (as I love that idea, thanks Hauptgefreiter!) and the tool shed, maybe a bit of fencing, garden etc. all for use in small scale skirmish games.
