Title: Iron Clad Scale Help?
Post by: Alcide Nikopol on 18 January 2010, 10:05:01 AM

All,

Does anyone have a photo they can share, or are expert enough on the subject to tell me if the miniatures by Ironclad (UK) scale appropriately along side Copplestone's line of miniatures?

Thank-you in advance,

-A

The ones I have seem slightly taller, but only a milimetre or so and have a similar "build", so I'm happy to use them together  :)

They will mix in fine, unless you are very particular about size differences.

This picture (taken by Kestrel) shows my Copplestone Naval Brigade being led by an Ironclad officer:

I have no problem mixing the two ranges, and also use them with Foundry, Ral Partha, Blue Moon, West Wind, Eureka and Black Tree. Pretty much covers all your bases there.  :)

Edit: actually, this is a slightly better picture:

You may have tipped your hand a bit there...

???

Ral Partha are generally tiny compared to the others. He's clearly implying you care little about scale difference  ;)

The fantasitc help is truly appreciated. I am so often impressed with the photos of Ironclad's line but have never, that I am aware of, had the opportunity to see them first-hand.

Thank-you all. I will proceed with the order.

The ones I have are very nice figures and seem very easy to paint. I don't think you will be disappointed  :)

Ohhhh! Right. Yeah, well, fair play, I guess you could say that. But in the second link I provided, the figure in the white shirt to the front of the shot is a RP one, and he fits pretty well for size. Maybe that's the only one that does, I dunno...  lol

He does look pretty good with the others. A little short, maybe, but no worse than having Hasslefree alongside Copplestone, which I do with my SciFi figures. I've been put off RP due to comments on small size, but maybe I might be able to use one or two as characters mixed in with the usual suspects.
