I had a bunch of Marro figures from Heroscape. I thought I was done with them. Then I realized I wasn't.
Every figure has had something done to it - usually a head or weaponswap, though the hounds just got antennae.
Drybrushed up to tabletop quality.

VERY nice Froggy!

Thanks! I wanted something for all those Thurnians to fight.
-
great stuff. How did you make the antennae?
-
Those are just sewing pins clipped short and bent in interesting shapes.

Cheers, might try that with my Spugs.

Those are great! Are those CAV guns?

Nice group of alien warriors there, Froggy, and very nice painting too!

Those are indeed - From the Blitz, Sabretooth, Cougar, and non-truescale Archer, if I remember correctly.

They look really great. I'm not familiar with Heroscape so might have to try out my google-fu.

. I'm not familiar with Heroscape .
It was going to be a huge game about four or so years ago ,wasn't supported in Europe but in the American market it had a lot of supplements and did well i believe.
It was a big box game completely stuffed with bits,in fact there were so many you could never get them all in again once you opened it . The game contained a multitude of hex tiles that could be used to create all kinds of terrain and 30 painted plastic figures . I hear when the game was being sold off cheaply that Battle Tech players bought it for the hexes.
Last year the game was on sale in the Uk for 1/3 of its original price
heres a link to BGG if you want more info

Hasbro dumped Heroscape over to Wizards of the Coast who are now handling it. A D&D version came out this month. Nice source for a variety of pre-painted miniatures from many different areas of gaming.

thanks for the heads up, how do they fit against 28mm minis?
-
The human ones tend to be a little large - I'd guess more 35mm, and their stances are usually quite wide.
The Skrai (and therefore the Marro) are comparable to most "heroic scale" 28mm figures.

Thanks for that.

Great looking bunch! I may have missed it but where are those triangular heads sourced from? I have the marro from the first 2 master sets sitting in a bits box and would to have a go at copying these.

GW tyranid weapons, the Devourers from the gaunt sets. Best use of them I have seen so far!
