Title: Atomic Cafe 1957 Perfect Bound Rulebook NOW available
Post by: Operator5 on 22 January 2010, 02:31:37 PM
The perfect bound copies for Brigade Game's great new post apocalyptic game have just arrived (and the printer shipped them to me too so I got my copy first!) but they will be at the Brigade Warehouse by this afternoon. If you have been waiting for the book to get in, now is your chance to grab it and some of the great miniatures that Paul Hicks and Ian Colwell have sculpted for it.

This rulebook is 52 pages and contains 27 color pages filled with samples of the miniatures painted by Chris Smith and Grimm (including some photos of Grimm's excellent table set up).

If you are looking for a period, fast-play gang warfare game, you should love this one.

You can order the book and miniatures here:

Thanks Driscoles. It's fun being able to do a layout with color instead of just black and white. About 3x as expensive but it really does make some stuff stand out.

Lon is still trying to work out how he will handle distribution outside US. For now, it's only available through him (and I think he may still be doing flat rate shipping but I don't know for sure).

But surely Grimm turned them into a beautiful diorama?  ;)

As long as I never make it to Germany and skip the country if he comes to the US, I just have to make sure I check my mail for hidden surprises.  lol

Why do I have the feeling Grimm is going to hunt me down. I need a disguise.  8)

International shipping for the book alone is $15.

Or you can make an order over $50 in product and have your order shipped for $15. The magical rate will appear once you have $50 of product in your order.

For those just ordering the book the postage is $15 even if calculated higher in the webstore. I will make the adjustments when processing your order.

That seems a generous offer, so order placed. Looking forwards to having a copy with 'Marcus' in. They'll be a rare and valuable item when the others are destroyed.  ;)

Grimm - you are very welcome. As I mentioned when I asked about using your pictures, I will send you a copy of the book with the pictures in it as thanks for letting me use them. The book looks great and Rich did a great job with the layout. Of course Rich has already been discussing the first supplement with me. There are more miniatures in the works at the moment that should be released mid-late February.

Quick question - is there any difference between the spiral bound book and this version (other then color pictures?)

There are a couple of differences. The order of some pages has changed, at Lon's request an armored vehicle was added. And points for Howie H. and the Kit Kat Girls were added (along with their unique abilities). I am going to let Lon know which pages were changed and I think he was planning on making those pages available to those pages to anyone who bought the spiral version.

I have an idea what it may be...but I don't tell you what I think... I'm superstitious when it comes to my miniature dreams..don't tell it anyone and they will come true  8)

Bearing in mind I ordered on a weekend, it arrived exactly 7 days from ordering (i.e. today), which is good going, not only by Lon, but both postal services too!  :)

I ordered mine along with just one mini. It was after I did this that i noticed that everyone was away for the con.  :) Actually Atomic Cafe 1957 is how I found this site. I had never heard of it and found Lead Adventure when I googled Atomic Cafe 1957.

I will try to post some pics when I get some figs painted. My brother is working on sculpting some scenery so I will try to post pictures of that as well.

Can Major Mutants buy more than 1 Mutation? Say Compound Eyes, Claws and Powerful jaws or are they limited to just one mutation? Thanks!
