Really neat.  Is that village scene comercial or scratchbuilt?  Is it one piece?  I like that base a lot, what is it, resin?

That's a nce stilt house.  The painting on both brings out the detail nicely.

Good work!

Lovely!
a good use of commercial available items!

BTW Grand Manner has some small "more african look" items to add on.

I thought that was the old airfix kit.

Very nice.  Lead foil for canopies?  I've used it for a lot of stuff, but that is a new one.  It looks great!  Will try it.

The jungle outpost looks fantastic, what scale is it?

The lead foil is very effective, I shall have to give it a go.

How well does the Airfix kit fit with modern 28mm minitures our are you gaming at 20mm?

That's pretty much what I was wondering about the scale.

If it works with 28mm that's great, it'll look a bit small next to "heroic 28's" and 32's but possibly close enough to get away with them too if accurate 28mm models look good with it.

As I recall, Airfix made the 1/72 scale (well, their 1/72 is more 1/76ish)  and a bigger one.  1/48 maybe?

Same with the forward command post and air control tower

The big one was 1/32 scale I believe, Smokey. Fitted in with their bigger range of toy soldiers. I had all three: The European, desert and jungle ones (well, access to all three, the European one was my brother's). The house on stilts was the first to go west. Those spindly little legs just didn't hold up to the strain of constantly being fought over by plastic Aussies, Gurkhas and Japanese.

The Jungle Outpost is suited to 20mm which fits in with my modern African troops and vehicles. The figures I use are Irregular Miniatures, and the APC's, jeeps etc plastic kits. It is definitely too small for bigger figures.

Pity for those gaming slightly larger sizes, as it is a nice kit and can be chopped about to give variety.

Ah, the joy of modern gaming in 20mm (1/72),    just about anything can be had.  Easy to  build up forces of    average model quality (but high gaming grade) Revell, Airfix, Hasawaga and various  Russian plastic armor, vehicles and aircraft kits, on the cheap.

I gamed 1/72 plastics colonial for years.    But, I love the plastics for dioramas and retired them (still have unopened, 30 year old  "British Khyber pass" infantry and other long gone sets, keeping them for some great project in the future).

Yes, I was the one who kept asking  God to have someone re-issue the   OOP Esci sets!!!! (Italeri is doing the work of Jesus, as far as I am concerned!)  :D

Bezzo, I'm freinds with and live near one of the greatest modern warfare 20mm sculptor, painter, and figure manufacturers on Earth.     Scary talent.  Let me know if you have an inquiry or questions.

I am PM'ing you his site.

Sorry Tim!

I was racking my brains for the maker of the oven and fire etc. but I just couldn't remember. The data banks had some 'down'time'

I also have your African river boat. And a straw hut. And....

Gentlemen, the company you're looking for is Frontline Wargaming.

I bought the same African village pieces at Partizan last year, but it took a mug of coffee to power-up my brain to the point where I remembered their name.  ;D
