Witchheimer,
I guess just what it says on the tin. How about an Oriental Adventures section on the forum?

You should tell me a little more. What do you understand under "Oriental Adventures"? A thousand and one night? That's fantasy :)

I'm thinking 47 Ronin, Ninjas, Samurai, etc... that sort of thing
-
Or the adventures of Francis Xavier Gordon. Another Robert E Howard Pulp Hero. Who adventures thru Persia, Arabia, Afghanistan in the 20`sGreat stories !
Prof has brought up a good idea !
-
I think, Gordon is Pulp, wherever he is :)
hmm...anyone else interested in Oriental/Samurai adventures forum??
Maybe I should really make the "Other Adventures" forum for all the other stuff :?:
-
Prof.,
that sounds fair. Make an "Other adventures" section, and then if there is enough dmeand we can always move some fo the posts to their own dedicated section.
the only reason I ask is that I am working on a seven samurai game using 20mm figures from B&B.
It isnt even that much of a concern, so do it at your leisure

There's hardly anything I'm not interested in but soon there are more forums than threads...
Isn't there a phpBB-extension that lets you mark each thread with a certain icon? So you could make for every topic an own icon and combine a lot of threads in one forum. :?:

or if it easier, we can try to use generic "tags". For example, if I were to post something on samurai, I could use the [Samurai] tag before my title. that way it will be easier to sort and search.

OK, I like the tag idea.

I think a Oriental/Samurai adventures idea is great. Like the Seven Samurai or Yojimbo etc. 2 great 50's movies and there are many more like them. I am a little biest, because I am currently have the above mentioned movies (and more) and I am painting a Samurai army.
Thats my 2 cents worth.
TT.

Can you recommend any good Samurai skirmish rules? Preferably for both Gempei and Senkgoku.
-
No, I have not found any yet, that I like. But I am still looking. Have you used any good rules?
I have an old board game called some like"Cry Havc - Samurai", I must admit I can not remember exactly - I have not look at it for more than 10 years. But I remember it wasn't too bad. I will dig it out again one day.
I am in not real hurry as I have a long way to go before I am finished painting all my Samurai minis.
