My Lord of the Rings Elf Army. I'll be adding some cavalry soon and maybe some more Galadrhim in armor. Please forgive my low-quality daguerrotypes.

Those are gorgeous :-*
The Wood Elves' cloaks are a bit more "blue-ish" than I'd have chosen, but the colour acttually works very well as does the antique metal effect of the armour. It shows how effective a wash can be.
Great army :D

Absoloutley gawjus mate well done

Not bad, basic but solid, just don't reply too heavily on your washes when it comes to skinwork, (most of the wood eleves have that mask of zorro look) assuming you've dipped these?
Don't be afraid to work up highlights too.

Thanks for the comments guys. I did the Wood Elves in Blue so they would match my 1st Age guys. I didn't dip them but did wash heavily as there are almost no details sculpted on the plastic WE's. Quick and dirty to get them on the table.

Very simple, very good looking and very nice colors = Very cool

Thats a great looking, coherent force. Nice job.

Thats what its all about.
If you feel the need or urge to spend more time on painting figures then go for it, but if they are for gaming with then the emphasis has to be to simply get them done IMO. We all have unfinished projects due to overreaching ourselves. Your Elf army is finished, ready for gaming and thats sort of the whole point. There are plenty of options to either go to town on an elite unit/character or go back over the regular guys if you want, but no real need to do it if you dont want to.
I like the blue in particular and the overall army look is great. I am looking forward to seeing the cavalry in particular.

Yes! Spend more time on the Perry-sculpted characters, but as long as the masses look this good the army is just right :D
