Can anyone please hit me hard with a bat until I understand where I am going wrong?
I've tried posting a message with pictures in it but the pics just show up as a red 'X' and alt on them. The pictures are hosted on Picasa and show fine on my blog but not here.
I am using the [img]url_text.jpg[/img]
in the post but no luck.
I am also sure the URL is correct as I can click on the 'x' frame and the picture shows up.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Another test - looking through Picasa folders with a web browser:
Direct test:

So the answer is for Picasa web albums:
Go into the Web Albums link from the Picasa main screen
Find the photograph in the correct album
Set the tick box on the right hand side of the screen to Image Only no link
Set the size you wish to show on the forum
Copy the link from the Embed Image box
In the message use the image icon or enter the image text
paste the link and close the image tag
Done!

I use Picassa but all I do is right click on the img code below the image on the album screen and copy it then paste it into the message.

That's how photobucket works too. Below each image is every type of link.
@Andrew. Is the photo meant to be that small?
