Some photos I took on my last visit to The Think Tank, Birmingham UK./
With me new preoccupation of low tech steam mech and VSF its fairly inspirational.

We go there quite regularly. My son loves the place and you are right, there is a lot of VSF inspiration there. For people like me who have no idea of how steam engines actually work, there is a lot of source material on how to build convincing models.

It's been far too long since I've gone to a museum or other such place with good examples of victorian tech. I don't know if it still has (I'd assume so), but the Edinburgh Natural History Muesum often had great examples when I was a kid, from steam engines to victorian van de graff generators and orreries

A lot of them are active, A lot of the bigger ones are.
