Title: Liberation Miniatures????
Post by: Charles_Rane on 08 March 2010, 02:24:40 PM
Who here has dealt with them?

How are the quality of their minis? Does anyone have pictures? They seem to have every possible figure I could ask for but I don't want to make any blind purchases.

I have bought tons of stuff from them and the figures have always been very good.
If you check out the guild there are many liberation minis shown there.

Minis are OK, a bit bulky. Bad thing is their web presence, no pics, difficult to read list etc. Just the usual show going UK trader...
 ;) ;)
The service was always good!

Agis, Liberation are 20mm yes? Except for Britannia minis, are there any others companies in 20mm that would compare nicely with them? I have heard Liberation mention a few times for 20mm selection in the past.

The Afghan's above arent Liberation correct? They are Britannia minis. Correct me if i got that wrong please. :-)

I really like what I have seen from Liberation so far, just hope I can paint up on 20mm.

Wish there was a company with Liberations selection in 28mm.

These figures get more and more impressive. Just wondering how well I'll do with 20mm. Hahaha.

I'm wanting to get rid of a pile of Liberation Generic fighters (good for general Caucasus, Georgia, Bosnia, Russian second line/militia fighters) Russian Regulars, Spetsnaz and African soldiers.

They are nice figures, however they are not really compatible with the majority of my 20mm figures from Elhiem and Under fire figures (at least that's my opinion).

I occasionally visit the Guild, and there is stuff there worth checking out. I can't speak for past incidents though as I'am not exactly a regular.

I did some scale comparison shots between Liberation/RH 20mm's and a few others (Combat/Hotspur, Platoon 20, elheim, etc)

Pictures can be found brueid in these two blog posts:

I've seen your work cpl. Overby and it is very good for such a small scale.

The guild seems to have moved to more of a ww2 theme, not that I'm complaining, there are some very talented guys on there. Most of the posts are pure eye candy.  :)

If you want rid of that African stuff Brummie send me a pm with what you have and what you want for it. I might be interested.  ;)

Liberation are great figures and excellent service ,there are pics and figure comparisons on my blog I have not put them here as many fine examples are already up ,as for the guild there are sections for ww2 but there are loads of other stuff up there ,Rolf has sorted out the issues what ever they were and there are plenty of liberation minis and threads on there ,plus everyone is very helpful and loads of painting and modelling tips as well .

I'm a fan. Cast quality is good and they make for robust and characterful figures.

There's a thread here on my Cold War Poles already. Rolf kindly made these up at my request. So if you want something that's not already available, I know that he'll consider producing it :)
