Looks like dust will be with us this year...sized to 30mm
Form an ordily queue here! :-*

Finally! The age of the walker in the WWWII genera has truly come of age.

Between Dust Studios and AEG they must have the most uninformative sites on the net. These walkers DO look cool!
-
...I want it.
Now.
RIGHT NOW!!!!
WE WANTS IT, THE PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
Er, ahem, yes, this is a must have for me.
:-*

Hate to admit it, but I'm not loving the Mechs, I mean, how are they an improvement over a tank?.... but I'm still very interested, and would love to see some more closeups of the troops.
-
Just remember, FFG/Rackham had pre-paints of these models at Gen con 2 years ago.
We'll see if they actually arrive :?.
If they do, I'm in for the mechs! :D
-
Nice looking and, as they are not prepaints, cheap?

Well, other than the coolness AltWar-tech factor, I imagine Mechs would be extremely useful in urban areas and rough terrain where conventional vehicles would have more limited mobility. Picture Stalingrad, for example, where normal tanks couldn't enter rubble-choked areas to support infantry. A Mech that can navigate that terrain you could bring AFV fire support into play. Plus, did I mention Mechs are cool?? ;D
-
looks cool! i like the game in the box idea,
-
ohhh! What fun.

I hope so too!
-
This is something I have been hoping for for ages. I will definitely be in for this. From the photos the mechas look excellent but it is hard to see the figures
-
"Orderly", my tuchas! GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!
It does look grand... :-*
-
Love to see them tackle tanks and AFV's. Hope it's not just walkers.
-
They do look very cool. 8)
Cheers

I ruddy hope so.
Looks a bit like a Rackham production and IIRC the original rumours were that it WAS Rackham. Do you think they pulled the project and someone else took it up?
I'm sure glad if it's not PPP. I'll bloody buy it and start WWW2 that way!!! lol

Tabletop Gaming News now have a photo close up of some of the painted troops - very nice
-
They are very nice and could drag me into this period of gaming if the price was right. Has anybody mentioned a price for this set yet?
-
They look very close to the 1:35 range.
Maybe I can make some pictures of them, so you can see how the 28mm could be.

For those who hate following links

Although Zak will appreciate the visits, so go there anyway, but of course you do already surely?
-
Do we have a WHEN and HOW MUCH yet?
-
Just found some pictures of the 1:35 figs and I think they will be nearly the same as the 28mm figs.

So, the sad thing is, I have to have the 28mm figs also.... lol
-
Impressive stuff!
-
They DO look great ;D.
30mm soundls like they won;t mix very well with SotR and the others, though. Bummer :'(....
-
I think these are supposed to be in the AT-43 scale.

And like who wants the figures anyway, it's the mechs all the way for me.

That's what I was thinking, but they do look so nice, don't they?
-
I love all the DUST stuff and I've enjoyed most of AEG's efforts, so I'm hoping this will be a good game! Even if it sucks, having the WWII walkers in 30mm will rock!

As I read today there will be also a Deluxe Set for Dust with Painted Minis available.
We have to see how "Deluxe" the painting really is ;)

If you're going to pinch photos from TGN at least post a link back to the story ;-)

Didn't take it from the TGN, but from "Brückenkopf".
But will post the next time also an link ;)

Now see, I'm the exact opposite. The mechs are cool, but I'm much more interested in the figures.

I'd be more interested in the Mechs if I played SoTR but I tend to play AE-WWII. Mind you, I like the winter camoflague on the troopers. Saves me from painting it :-)

Thanks. :-) Mind you, you could have just linked to Brückenkopf as well... although I guess there aren't that many German speakers here :-)
The price of the deluxe set hasn't been set from AEG. They are still discussing it so any prices you've seen mentioned online are just rumours.

I'm not sooo keen on the american mechs.
While I like WWW2 mechs that take aspects from a style of tank and use them a little the american ones are just a sherman on legs.
The German mechs are far nicer...but I think I'm really holding out for the Russian armour (KV-47) from the original comic. With or without "Halo Pod" (kinda like a bunker busting drop pod for the KV-47).

According to the background, the Allies are just starting to build their own walkers based on captured Axis vehicles while the Germans are on their second generation of vehicles.
I ink the US walkers look like Shermans on Legs because they are Shermans on legs :-)
-
Sounds like normal US ingenuity during WWII to me.

Why do all the bases look like manhole covers? ???

I have the KV-47, in 1:35, for my WWW2 project, a very nice thingy :-*
-
The 1:35 scale minis are all stunning.
The prices aren't too bad either, even with import tax :(, for such amazing pieces.
I must say I'm very tempted to pick up the KV-47...though the "bulldozer" style german heavy work mech is calling out to me very loudly too.
The considerably cheaper, and poseable, plastic german mech also seems rather nice, I wonder if they plan to release more of the 1:35s in plastic.
:?

Wow! I am looking forward to this! Especially if AEG is taking this over. They have a good track record of getting products out, and are just down the way!
