Title: Not Lead, but Fantastic HPL stuff....
Post by: Mogimbu on 23 May 2007, 06:47:23 AM
Greetings all,

I've been lurking for some time, and have been really impressed by the stuff posted here.
Years ago I did many Dark Future cars, Stormtroopers, Battlemechs, and D&D figs.
I'm completely enthralled by the VSF stuff, as well as the whole High Adventure/Back of Beyond motif!!

In any case, I'm a huge HPL fan, and this site:

http://www.cthulhulives.org/toc.html

Is chock-a-block with great mythos stuff, including cool (do it yourself) Props, Movies and Radio Adventures.

Thanks to the WitchDoktor for brewing this place up!

Cheers,
Mogimbu

Those folks are swell! They are the source of the Call of Cthulhu movie going around, and they sent me a free t-shirt when I joined and filled out their survey.

You laugh, but I've seen the work we all put into this. Those certificates are ENTIRELY appropriate for this crowd.

I'm glad you guys liked the link.

They've got ripping stuff for sure.

If you click on the strange Icons on top of the page, you'll go to different areas ofthe site.
Take the Sani-Test, and determine HOW insane you are, and click the tentacled-tomes for the a list of the groups LARP-ish RPG scenarios with pics and other media.

Best Regards,
M

thanks a lot!!! this ine is hilarious:
"20. Electro-convulsive therapy (shock treatment) can cause
 a. short-term memory failure
 b. short-term memory failure "

btw, my score is 6.58: "Your score suggests that you are completely unbalanced. This is not a terribly serious condition, and can even be rather charming if not mixed with a violent temper or serious subtance abuse problem. Others who scored at this level include publisher Larry Flynt and famed explorer Ferdinand Magellan."

nothing special... but I'll try to improve as soon as possible, muahahahahaaa... :D

A great site & there seems to be new stuff since I last visited.

I'm strangely pleased with my Insanity Index of 7.33 - thoroughly demented.

INSANITY INDEX 6.06 This score indicates that you are hysterical. By which we mean subject to overexcitement of the psychic, sensory, vasomotor and visceral functions, coupled with unmanageable fear and emotional excess, and not that you're particularly funny. Although sometimes loss of those visceral functions is good for a laugh. Others who scored at this level include ex-president Bill Clinton, thrill murderers Leopold & Loeb, and new-age archeologist Graham Hancock.

I resent to being at the same level as Bill Clinton. I did not have sexual relations with that woman.

This is terrible, the test is out to hurt me and it knew the very worst thing to say.

It said I'm as mad as Thatcher.

I can take the mad bit, the Doctor tells me the same.

But Thatcher, damn.

That is the most cruel thing anything has ever said to me.

I saw the movie yesterday night.
Really nice. The movie is  very faithful adaptation of the novel (which I re-read 3 weeks ago).
But even better is the making of. Nice model swamp, model ship, model island of the elders etc.

So in short - if you are interested in Cthulu you should think about his DVD...
;-)

cannot disagree:
I've seen the movie several months ago - lovecraft's world in the purest form :)
