Nice one, Mortimer. Very atmospheric shots. I like the way they are lit, too. It has the vibe of a sunlit glade in a dark brooding forest. Great Baluchis - I rather like painting them myself. They make a nice change from all those Ngoni and cannibals I've been doing.

Ruga Ruga and more Arabs, eh? Funny you should say that...

Don't forget, this is Darkest Africa

Nice painting, and very nice scenery - the Jungle looks very convincing.

thanks for your comments!!!

and yes, the illumination in the scene is good, with some work with saturation levels and tone variations for a more warm light... but i need a filler light to avoid the long and hard shadow... next time!

Great Baluchis - I rather like painting them myself. They make a nice change from all those Ngoni and cannibals I've been doing.

but Plynkes, aren't they in the background your baluchis?  ??? ???

Yes, but they are ones I did years ago. Now I am doing some more, the Arab army needs to grow if it is going to fight the Force Publique.

But enough of that, this thread is about your Baluchis.

Really love them - the Baluchis are such great minis.

I'm hoping they will pass for a unit of Arab mercenaries in my India game.

These arabs are a really versatile range... indian, BOB, darkest africa, etc.
