Title: Weird German tank ideas
Post by: fitterpete on 16 March 2010, 12:10:55 AM
Hey guys,
While I was at Cold Wars this weekend selling some stuff in the Flea Market the guy next to me had some Dragon Armor 1/72  pre- painted tanks.I got to looking at the larger ones( E-100, Maus and Sturmtiger) and thought "Ya know those would make cool medium and light tanks for 28mm weird war" So I bought a bunch(for $10 each how can you go wrong) and the Maus and E100 are about the same size as a 1/48 Panzer IV.The Sturmtiger is about the same size as a Pan II.Except for the hatch size they look pretty good.
Just thought I'd share.
Pete

Yeah, I had thought at one point about using Dragon 1/72 Maus as light tanks for my Copplestone Neo-Soviets. Probably not going that way though. Check these out http://www.amazon.com/Germ-E-25-Tank-Destroyers-PGH7602/dp/B000BRUG88. I could swear there was another 1946 type design they make, but I can't remember what it was.

Actually, Pegasus did two other 'paper panzers,'  the Jaguarundi and the Schwerer Kliener Panzer, as well as a Maus. Some of them may be out of production, though.

Well if your interested in 20mm WWW2 vehicles, I make a number of them from the Panzer 10 Lowe, Japanese Ultra Heavy O-I, E-10 a, E-10 b, E-10 c, and I am currently working on the Panzerkleinzerstorer Rutscher. You can PM me for more details if your interested :)

I meant no harm by saying buy one, I thought it nice that people were interested in the kits is all. I didnt meant to steal your thread, so lets get back to topic...shall we. Im assuming youve heard of the all of the E-series, the E-50 and E-75  are good candidates for light to medium tanks for 28mm if you bought them in 20mm....

My thoughts too but at least the russian tank saved the day there.

You could of course go completely off at a tangent with mechs?

(One of my fav pics)

Really nice conversion, Cmdr V, always nice seeing those little details such as stowage and such giving a vehicle a 'working' dog look.
