AWESOME!

I picture some sorcerer having bound him with magic chains and imprisoned him deep beneath the ground. Some foolish humans, a thousand years later, release him because they think he will serve them. Our Conan-esque hero then has to beat him and force him back into his chains.

Sorry. Grimm's questions on Broadsword Adventures got my mind racing on Robert E. Howard.

He has been summoned from the dark to hunt down and return Hellboy to where he belongs..
