Title: Awesome gaming table

Why didn't I try harder at carpentry at school. I could have owned my own South Sea Island by now.

Seeing as they are very well made custom pieces (solid wood with REAL JOINERY), they are worth the price (they really gear themselves toward the techies with monies). They hand-deliver and setup for you, so not sure how you would get them across the pond. lol

$1500.00 is ridiculous...
But this is coming from the guy would tried (unsuccessfully) to sell his wife on a $3000 pool table that converted into a dining room table, so what do I know... :D

If you don't have the tools and/or the know how you'll probably end up spending three times as much trying to build it yourself. That's the conclusion I came to when considering new book cases. Turns out buying them was the less costly option.
