Her response was brief, firm and in the negative.  :D

No..it's starting at 1500 dollars.

Fifteen hundred dollars. Fifteen hundred dollars!

Why didn't I try harder at carpentry at school. I could have owned my own South Sea Island by now.

Be happy that you didn't, what with the rising of the ocean level...  :D

Rough guess but maybe ...£10...15?

Are you an amateur mindreader?
 lol
Never done an exact calculation, but it can't be any more than that.

Yeah, I've seen them in the flesh at KublaCon here in California.  I had to wipe the drool up, they were so pretty.  Seeing as they are very well made custom pieces (solid wood with REAL JOINERY), they are worth the price (they really gear themselves toward the techies with monies).  They hand-deliver and setup for you, so not sure how you would get them across the pond.   lol

Hmmm....
A decent pair of under mount drawer slides would fix the storage problem many have with their gaming tables...
$1500.00 is ridiculous...
But this is coming from the guy would tried (unsuccessfully) to sell his wife on a $3000 pool table that converted into a dining room table, so what do I know... :D

The wife said she'd actually consider one when we move next. Of course, given that she's also a gamer...

If you don't have the tools and/or the know how you'll probably end up spending three times as much trying to build it yourself. That's the conclusion I came to when considering new book cases. Turns out buying them was the less costly option.
