Hi,
My first post here (so I dont get thrown off the forum!)
A couple of other members suggested I post up a couple of pics and a link to a Seven Years War in India project I am managing. Figures painted by a mate. Buildings by HG Walls and others. I, at least, have done the ships.
Hope you like.

And I did the basing ::)

Bloody hell, that's an immense AND attractive army! Must have cost you a fortune to have painted up.
EDIT: ..and the buildings, terrain and all the other doodahs... Jesus, Mary and Joseph...!

Rather not think about that aspect!

I will do that! Now I just need to get a game in with them :)

Gorgeously, spectacularly wonderful :o :-*
Your mate is a damn good painter, and your basing is none too shabby either.
Love the Akalis in particular.
-
Thanks! Makes me feel like I have actually contributed to the army! Now I need to get some better pics done!

One of the loveliest armies I've seen posted on here for a while. Fascinating period, utterly gorgeous painting. You're a lucky boy!

Still drooling...

Beautiful! I thought about getting a SYW-era Indian army and decided not to follow up due to too many other commitments. Your pics show just what can be done. Top class! :-*
-
That is beyond impressive! I love the colorful units.

That’s a really fantastic army. The figures are really well painted, it is true, but I also think that the bases really bring them together. Am I mistaking or most of the Indian figures came from Foundry’s Indian Mutiny range?

Most of the Indian foot troops are Foundry with a smattering of Perry, Bears Den, London War Room and the odd Old Glory. Artillery is a mix of Redoubt, old GW, London War Room and Old Glory. Cavalry are Perry, Foundry, Musketeer, A&A and GW Al Muktar's Desert Dogs!
Elephants are Foundry, London War Room with some Bear's Den heads.
-
I forgot to list the Europeans!
Front Rank, Crusader, Perry, some Foundry and a very small number of Old Glory. Sepoys are mostly Parkfield with one unit of 1st Corp.

Magnificent!
And, sadly, all to encouraging of purchases of the same lead.
Which figure manufactures by the way?
Regards,
MW.
