I don't know about you guys but it seems to me there aren't many Pulp era shotgun toting good guys...
There are a few...Pulp Figures has a few included in a couple of sets but most other manufactuers only have big game hunters or cowboys.
Being that most of my purchases are for pulp horror games, I needed a good guy with a shotgun to round out my armament and didn't want to pay and arm and a leg or purchase a bunch of other figures I had no use for.
So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I found this guy...

I wish more people would make miniatures and sell them as singles. I know I'd buy more miniatures that way.

Now that is a nice mini. I think I need to get one of those.

Is this a new figure? I ordered some Artizan stuff a few weeks ago to use with Strange Aeons and would have nabbed this chap straight away if I'd seen him then. Oh well, gives me an excuse to order some more I guess :D
It's a great sculpt and will fill a hole in my ranks quite nicely.

Ooooh, something else for my Salute list!!
-
Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

I think Gauntman's point is this figure does NOT look like he is out hunting peasant. He is loaded with Buckshot. Painted right he would look fine in an urban setting, and might be packing a pistol under his coat as well.

I say great show. These are by the same people who do the morris men yes? I live the Artizan figures, but I've never seen him before. Thanks for pointing him out.

Very interesting figure. I should remind to include it in my next Artizan order. You might be interested in this Hasslefree mini:

They'd make a fine couple!

I find that Madge (the HF figure there) is so genre-neutral that she can fit in just about anywhere. I use her as a partisan (both old and Neo-Sovs), zombie survivor, pulp and stock modern farmer.

The Artizan figure's a new release. Will add him to my forces soon. Not seen the Hasslefree one before - she's a must as well.

Thanks Steve F,
I've never even seen those other shotgun toting figures from Gripping Beast/Woodbine Design Co.
That's what I love about you guys....

Oh, shush! I bet you say that to all young gaming forums out there.

The O'Hanlon miniature looks great!

That's your paint work there, Steve? Very nice.

now, if only he came with a pump-action shotgun (or I had the conversion skill to model one on!), I'd be a very happy man!

Smith...
by the way (off topic)
Love your avatar pic. I just went to two weeks ago to see a late-night BTILC rescreening in a movie theatre, it was incredible.

What about this. Copplestone Castings, KKBB, Soul Section.
Middle guy has a pump action. Maybe a simple head swap or some putty work to lose the beret.

Oh, no, alas! I pinched the photo from the Gripping Beast web-site whose URL I gave.
-
That is a nice figure, just wish the breech was closed and it was at his shoulder.

The Pulp Boys in Blue actually come wiht weapon options. That pump-action shotgun can be substituted leaving you with the spare weapon and hand.
