Hello gents,
My fellow Random Encounters and I were at the Kieler convention Do or Dice (I always want to add "Kiel or be Kielled" to that name).
I was silly enough only to photografe our own game... so I guess I might as well only post it in VSF too.
The thing that I did right though, was to take a lot of pics:

Once again the good Lord Cornwall was trying to free his wife and get as much unobtainium out of the hands of the Prussians.

Great pic's. So did he save her yet or is another rescue attempt in the cards?
-
You have flying monkeys in fezes!
Give me an hour or so to make some big stilts, I'm walking to Denmark right now!
What's Danish for 'flying monkeys in fezes', so that when I get there and say 'take me to the men with flying monkeys and fezes', I don't accidently ask for cucumbers instead?
I like your plume of grey smoke too, at first I thought there was a cat sitting on the table.
It looks like an excellent, exciting and totally bonkers game. Well done chaps!

OK here's what you can do:
In November (around the 26th) take the ferry from Harwich to Esbjerg and tell them:
"Før mig til de flyvende aber med fez" (take me to the flying monkeys with fezzes)
That'll lead you straight to Horisont II to play VSF.

In the UK and Europe you can get the monkeys from Fighting 15s:

Great looking game indeed and look like you had tons of fun too :)
What rules are you using for this games?
-
...
"Før mig til de flyvende aber med fez" ...
Got you. "Fare me to the flyin' apes mit fez". Good job we all speak different dialects of European, eh?
-
Bloody hell, that looks fun!
I like the simplicity of the tanks, and that tractor does look good...
So, Germans in white uniforms? ???

It was quite funny now you force me to admit it. lol
We are using the G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. rules right now.

Haha. You'll do just fine here in Denmark then. ;D

It's VSF and I hate blue. My zendarians will have light sky bluegrey uniforms though.

Very good pics.
It was great to have you in Kiel at our convention.
Hope you come back next year. We would cheer you guys and shout
"Look, the Danes are coming "
No one would run. Different feeling for you, eh ? ;)

Fantastic pictures. The whole set up looks great, but I have to say my eye is really drawn to the mines in the cliff at the back, it looks like some really fantastic terrain.

My fellow Random Encounters...
My, you boys are hairy. Did you drive down there on Harleys sporting leather vests with that logo and a pair of dice? :)
A beautful gameboard as I've said before. A lot of minis to. How long did it take to play?

Amazing pictures and love the Tanks and Flying Monkies are inspired its like VSF meets Wizard of Oz :D

Yes, indeed Jacob did ride his bike to the convention.
I however, being half bald and intelligent, was forced to enter my french anti-viking edition Berlingo and feel humiliated all the way from Århus to Kiel. lol

Great looking game, figures and scenary. It looks like it was a very fun game. What company is the tank from? Thanks
-
The large tank is from Ironclad, the small ones are from Ground Zero Games, but I think it is sold out there, so it is available from Eurika/Fighting 15s, and the small square shaped tank is homemade form cardboard and bits.
We had a great time showing this and with our experience from Horisont in Denmark we had simplified much and it became a faster and more funny game for the participants too (I think).
We played two games, both ended with (marginal) Prussian victory and both times Lord Cornwall failed to rescue his wife (I think)..
But I think there will be more adventures for Lord Cornwall in the future ;)

That is a really, great looking board, terrain, & characters.
Looks like alot of fun! :)
